Where do I begin?
You see, in most restaurants, the waiters expect you to order moments after you open the menu card which is tough, here at Andhra Annam you get so much time that you can memorize the entire menu, take a bathroom break and wash your hands (twice) by the time the waiter arrives at your table to take your order.
In most restaurants the first thing they do is flip two glasses and pour you some water before an order is made. Here they take utmost care of the quality of water provided. When the customer walks in, they get into the process of purchasing a land, then they'll set up a bore well, extract water and that water goes through their signature patent pending purification system and then it is finally served to us. All this happens within 30 minutes. That's some blazing fast process.
In our food order we had asked for a combo that came with a soup, an appetiser, a gravy, a naan, a bowl of pulav, a juice and a dessert. Apart from this, we had ordered a starter.
Soup - Well. The Dal shorba here was an innovation that blew our minds. A dash of salt, pepper and chilly powder in some left over excess water from boiling regular Dal and voila! You get Dal shorba.
Appetiser - Wedges of Potato Wedges. You can call, them potato slices (slightly thicker than chips). Have you ever ordered potato wedges in Dominos? Well as an appetiser, we probably got 2 or 3 potato wedges that were further cut into 3 tiny slices each. Along with it came a small set of salad that had 7 slices of Cabbage and 3 slices of Carrot. I could not eat more than 5 slices combined. It was too much for me. I gave the rest of the slices to my friend.
It had been 1 hour since we walked into the restaurant by now. The juice which I thought I'd drink at the end of my meal, was over by now.
Gravy & Naan - probably the only decent thing we had in the whole order.
Pulav - Bazinga! It was a biryani in disguise. We could feel the freshness in the rice that was cooked. When we ordered the combo, the restaurant got into action, they started by getting to their farm, ploughed it, sowed seeds, harvested the crops, got the rice polished and cleaned, finally cooked it and prepared a biryani. All this happened in an hour. Can you believe how blazingly fast that was! It was so filling and tasty that I could barely finish half of the bowl. Must try!
Starter - 80 minutes down, we get our starter that we had ordered separately apart from our combo, it was more like a finisher. We were done with the rice when it actually came. We had ordered Gobi 65, got like 5 pieces each. The oil in each piece was enough to finish our appetite to eat anything more. Truly a finisher!
Desserts - They never came. Looks like they were stuck on their way from the Sahara desert.
To sum it all up, you should definitely go there for the awesome service and wonderful taste they provide that too at super fast speeds.

Read moreEver since I saw the big banner outside this restaurant on the muslim wedding biriyani, I've been waiting for an occasion to visit this restaurant. On the occasion of the birthday of one of my family members, we went to this place. All of us were eager to try the muslim wedding mutton biriyani. Our first disappointment struck us when the person who served our table told us that the mutton biriyani is not available. It was just around 8.15pm and when I asked how come it isn't available so early in the evening, that person told us that there was so much crowd that mutton biriyani got over. The restaurant was barely full when we reached there and we were very skeptical about the reply from the serving person. Since not everyone were too keen to have the chicken biriyani, we ordered three prawn biriyani, one regular chicken biriyani and one muslim wedding chicken biriyani along with few other stuff. Before ordering, I specifically checked with the serving person if there is any difference between the special wedding biriyani and the other biriyanis that we are ordering. He clearly told that it's only the quantity that will differ and the biriyani is just the same.
The prawn biriyani was so bad with no flavour and when u taste the prawn without rice, it tasted bland without salt or any spice. The regular chicken biriyani tasted exactly the same(bad). Only the special chicken biriyani had the actual flavour of biriyani but it wasn't great either but was miles ahead compared to the other biriyani we had. The only saving grace was the mutton chukka and nethili fry which were top class.
I don't understand why someone would lie to their customers. My guess is that there was no mutton special biriyani in the first place or only a small quantity was made for the day in the afternoon that it got over as early as 8pm. The biggest lie was all were just the same. We didn't create any fuss at the restaurant and left quite disappointed on a special occasion with our evening spoiled. I'll never step into this...

The moment you step in, you’re welcomed by a well-maintained, clean, and pleasant ambience that provides a nice break from the usual food court rush. The decor is simple yet inviting, creating a comfortable spot to enjoy a hearty South Indian meal.
The highlight of our visit was undoubtedly the Andhra Chicken Gravy – a rich, fiery, and deeply satisfying dish. The chicken was tender and soaked perfectly in a thick, spicy gravy that’s bursting with the distinct flavors Andhra cuisine is known for. It pairs excellently with hot rice or parottas and truly showcases the chef’s mastery of regional spice blends. If you enjoy bold flavors and a bit of heat, this dish is a must-try.
The rest of the food also lived up to expectations, with a consistent “wow” factor in taste. Every bite delivers authenticity, and it’s clear that the ingredients used are fresh and well-prepared.
However, the one downside during our visit was the slow service. Despite the quality of food, the waiting time was noticeably longer than expected, which might test your patience, especially during peak hours. A little improvement in speed would definitely enhance the overall experience.
In summary, Andhra Annam is a great spot for lovers of Andhra-style food, offering delicious meals in a nice setting—just be ready for a...
