Devi Bala Residency — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

Hello All ! This was my first time traveling to villupuram. This is the worst hotel (DEVI BALA HOTEL VILLUPURAM) to stay. Filled with cockroaches and lizards. The staffs are rude and scary. They even threatened me by saying you just paid 1200 rupees and complaining ? What do they expect ? Me to pay 10,000 ? I paid what they asked for one night stay. Anyways the air conditioner didn’t work so i requested for change of room. The manager was sleeping on the guest longe sofa and heade me wait for two hours to change room. Fine after that no blanket in the room i requested him for that and be was shouting at me. Fine i slept off around 3 am after this chaos. Early morning around 5-5.15 am the power was cut. I asked them please help me . They were like 2 mins it will come i waited till 11am after that i decided to go to any nearby hotel to charge my phone. How can a hotel have no power backups ? The place is old and creepy too. Full of gundas. Trust me i would never ever ever in my life visit this...

Attended my friend's marriage reception at Devi bala residency. Ground floor is dedicated for serving food. It looks like the ground floor is a hotel and floor one is the hall - people can conduct official parties, meeting, get togethers, birthday celebrations, etc. But the size of the hall is medium. It can accommodate around a 100 people. Floor two is for stays, I mean, many rooms are there people, relatives, visitors can stay there for rent. As I attended a reception in the first floor, I found only one common toilet just close to the lift. People felt uncomfortable especially ladies. We waited for minutes to get refreshed. Other than that the Residency is just opposite to Villupuram new bus terminus. Easily identifiable...

I am unsure of the reason why this residency is having 3+ rating, not worth of even 1.Ha I got it, Best reviews were given by the owner’s son & friends itself I guess that is how it has reached 3+. Staffs are good.Owner of this place does not care about safety or wellness of the customer. Completely money minded and way of approach before booking his hall and during final payments were way too different and had a completely disastrous experience. I strongly recommend that it should not be visited by any customer and it should be shut down if owner is going to continue this attitude. If you want to spend money peacefully...
