Hotel Taj Multicuisine Restaurant Ooty — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

One of the worst hotels when it comes to service.We actually entered this place as it was famous in town. Yes,it is famous ,as we were able to see that from the crowd waiting there. it took 20 minutes for us to sit on the table ,we came here for dinner for 8 people. First we ordered a few dishes as per individuals wish .Then in between we ordered some naans for which they said they don't have naans and roti .But initially when we ordered they took the order for roti and later Informed us roti is not available .Then we had an argument later he said ok we will arrange. after 15-20 minutes we had the dishes coming to our table but roti was missing then we asked for roti again and the waiter said sir we arranged roti for you ,please wait .as if we came here for their delicious roti😒.Then after 30 minutes they brought the roti for which they missed to bring the side dish which we ordered at the beginning. In a nutshell,the waiters don't know how to do their job ,they take all the orders without knowing what is available ,what is not .Letter coming to us and saying it's not available and also we order something and they bring something else and argue with us to eat the dish they bought ,saying it's the same dish you ordered. We had a heated conversation with the waiters , no one showed the hospitality there, later we cancelled the rest of the orders we made and left the restaurant with an empty stomach (did have enough food).

We were served soup with cockroaches.

We had ordered soup and biryani for lunch. First, we were served the soup, which had cockroaches in it. Shocked, we immediately informed the waiter. She took the soup away without even apologizing. We then raised a complaint with the person at the cash counter, who mentioned that they had recently done pest control. He also did not apologize for the bad experience.

Unfortunately, we missed the opportunity to take a photograph of the soup, which would have been helpful in filing a complaint with the Food Safety Authorities.

The hotel management and staff members were ignorant and took this issue very lightly. It seems they have the mindset that most of their customers are tourists who visit Ooty once and may not return. This is very disappointing for a restaurant. We stopped by the Taj Hotel only because it was recommended by some people.

I will not recommend the Taj Hotel in Ooty. They do not care about customers' health or hygiene and are only focused on their income...

Food was very tasty If you got dine in - I would recommend not to.. because it's very poorly managed and cleanliness is not that up to mark as they have lots of visitors and tourists coming in... If you're looking for take away then great you'll definitely feel better having yummy food for your tummy Important: You don't get water bottles at this hotel !!! Please carry your own bottles or just walk out to buy a 5 litre water cans- " water bottles are strictly restricted in Ooty "

Dear owner,

Please ensure you have basic checks, a.Cleaning floors very frequently b.Cleaning table with clean clothes c.please provide disposable caps to waiters d. If possible get the painting job done every 2 years or whenever you prefer. As of now it needs a clean atmosphere for sure and I am giving just 1...
