Our stay at the Thalaserry hotel in Ooty left much to be desired. From the onset, we encountered significant delays in placing our food order, leading to a frustrating wait. This lapse in service set a disappointing tone for our experience.

Regrettably, the culinary aspect did not compensate for the initial inconvenience. The taste of the food fell short of expectations when compared to other establishments in the vicinity. The flavors lacked the finesse and quality we anticipated, leaving us dissatisfied with our dining experience.

In addition to the service and culinary disappointments, the ambiance and overall atmosphere of the restaurant failed to make a positive impression. It's disheartening when a visit to a hotel not only falls short of expectations but also fails to provide the basic elements of a satisfying dining experience.

If you are planning to have good food, never ever go to this "restaurant". The ambience and food is like the street food and to add flavours they have invented new ways that is to add hairs to biriyani which is their special. We got hairs from 2 plates to biriyani of 3 plates we ordered. And when asked with them their response was that they will change and give us another plate and from their talk we came to understand that hair is the so called special taste flavouring they are adding. And also the behaviours and the customer support was also very very terrible even the street food vendors will give you much healthier food than this. This hotel is really a curse of Thalassery, a city in Kannur which is well known for the food and hospitality. This is just a fake Momo Thalassery which servers you hair flavoured foods. And also the atmosphere is very worst and the path to enter to it looks like Sabarimala steps...

Despite many negative reviews, ignored and visited the restaurant due to my strong trust on malayali brothers generosity and hospitality I was enjoying in all the Gulf countries and India. Ordered Thalassery chicken biriyani and got the so called biriyani with greasy white rice with dry chicken pieces and no trace of masala on 6 inch plate...! which was not enough for my 7 years old boy...! Asked about quantity and arrogant staffs replied 'everyone eating the same and going away silently', means 'eat or go away, we don't care'. Adult male need to order atleast 3 plates of the same tasteless biriyani with extra masala or semi gravy to feel something they had. Ooty's floating customers are their victims.
