Subject: Complaint Regarding Poor Food and Packaging Quality – Ambattur Redhills Road Outlet

Dear McDonald’s Team,

I am writing to express my disappointment with the food and packaging quality I experienced today at your Ambattur Redhills Road outlet. My takeaway order (valued at ₹1214.65) was very unsatisfactory.

Firstly, when I picked up my order and walked out, the carry bag’s code tag tore, causing the drink glasses to fall to the ground. I returned to the store, and the staff replaced them. However, the packaging material was so flimsy that, within just 10 minutes of reaching home, the tag tore again. Fortunately, I was carrying it by hand instead of hanging it, otherwise it would have spilled again.

This reflects very poorly on the quality of packaging being used. For an international brand like McDonald’s, such weak material either points to poor raw material sourcing or an attempt by the franchise to cut costs—neither of which should be acceptable.

More concerning was the food quality. Upon opening one of the drinks at home, I found it contaminated with insects. This was shocking and completely unacceptable. As a customer, I expect the highest standards of hygiene, safety, and quality from McDonald’s.

Overall, this has been a very bad experience for me and my family. With the poor packaging and food contamination, I strongly feel that the price charged does not match the quality delivered.

Overpriced and Underwhelming - Not Worth ₹970

I recently ordered from McDonald's, and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. The total bill came to ₹970.63, and for what I received, it was absolutely not worth it.

McSpicy Premium Veg Meal: This was supposed to be the main dish of my meal, but the burger was shockingly small and stuffings were limited . For something labeled "Large and Spicy," the size and taste were far from it.

Large Fries: The only redeeming item in the order. The fries were crispy and worth. But not spicy and hot

Cafe Strawberry Shake with Whipped Cream: This was overpriced and underwhelming. Even with the added whipped cream, it didn’t live up to expectations.It was literally tasting like a plain milk.

American Mud Pie with Brownie: The only item in our menu which was satisfactory. But the brownie addition was unexpectedly priced with GST.

Spicy Delux Paneer Burger Meal: Similar issue as the Veg Burger—was tiny with limited stuffs and not that mouth watering. It was just a normal burger and we didn't feel any panner dominating flavor and was not upto that premium price.

I was really expecting more from McDonald's, brand but paying close to ₹1,000 for such small portions and average quality is just unacceptable. If you're considering ordering this, I'd advise saving your money or...

IMPORTANT‼️‼️!!!!!!!!We found few silver colour particles in the strawberry shake that I have ordered. Are you kidding? I don't know what it is. I never given such negative feedback on any restaurant. This is the first time me writing a negative comment jut because of the terrible experience I had. I already drank 3-4 sip and while drinking I felt some unusual sensations in my mouth and my teeth as well( as if there is few sand particles in my mouth) then I started noticing the bottle to check what it is. I was bloddy shocked seeing some white sand type of particles along with some silver collar particles. Totally speechless. Now I got the real fear of eating food out side. Only if you cook, you know what goes in the food you eat, surprisingly here went some uneddible stuff which could definitely turn out to have a bad health condition tomorrow.
