McRennett as a bakery doesnt need any introduction.. Can be easily classified as the oldest bakery chain in chennai.. But i personally have not been able to visit them since corona and also due to various options available..
I did however visited their nanganallur outlet recently to pick up few nan and buns for the kid.. Located on the MGR road its pretty hard to miss.. All outlets of Mcrennett have been given a facelift and lots of varieties of buns and bread varieties have been added to the racks..
I bought the Coconut Nan and Jam bun.. The Jam bun was really good with loaded jam in a soft bun.. Yes its comparatively costlier to normal ones but with good packaging and less exposure to environment it more safer comparatively.. The coconut Nan was also good in taste but was bit dry.. The filling was good only the bread had gone a bit dry..
The service however was a bit slow and not welcoming at all.. But due to the various options and good taste i will definitely recommend the place.. The service if improved it can be a lot better...
