New Andhra Meals Hotel — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

It was a memorable evening today since I met my friends after a while. We met at @newandhrameals which is in Valasarawakkam (1.8kms from MegaMart towards Virugambakkam).

The property had enough parking space for 2/4 wheeler.

They are open for dinner from 7pm onwards. Prior appointment is desirable to avoid unavailability of seats at the last moment.

What did we have?

We began with Soup which included

Sweet Corn Chicken Soup & Mutton Soup.

Both of then tasted real good. However mutton soup tasted hot & spicy. I loved it as it was perfect for the climate.

Then we ordered:

Crab 🦀 Lollipop Garlic Chicken Chicken Lollipop Banjara & Pudina Kebab

I must say that each and every dish was cooked with perfection. It gave us the authentic Andhra style taste which you would savour while eating. The pieces were soft and tender and is mixed with right set of condiments and spices.

Finally, we moved on to main dishes which includes

Mutton Keema Dosa Chicken Roast Biryani Gongura Mutton Biryani and Mutton Kothu Parotta

Each and every dish lived up to our expectations. They were complimented perfectly with Raita and Salna.

Mutton was cooked well. Though the base of the Biryani is the same, the variation shown with regards to the masala along with the meat/chicken made them unique.

We finished our dinner with sweet Lassi & Lemon Juice.

The ambiance I sure the restaurant was good with pleasant music. We were served food in no time & they were prepared hot and fresh.

Visited this restaurant with my family of 5, including kids, for dinner around 8:00 PM on a Sunday. The ambience is what you'd expect from a high-class restaurant, but unfortunately, the experience didn’t live up to the setting.

We were disappointed to learn that no seafood was available, with the reason being heavy rush in the afternoon. Fresh juices weren’t available either, and the only option was limited flavors of Goli soda, sold at inflated prices.

The waiters, while experienced, had an air of indifference and seemed more focused on maintaining a facade of courtesy than actually enhancing our dining experience. When we placed our order, the waiter didn’t seem knowledgeable about the dishes. We ordered Chilli Chicken Andhra style as a semi-dry starter, but what we received was a mediocre gravy dish with chicken pieces varying from small shreds to large chunks—very inconsistent.

The Roasted Chicken Biryani was extremely spicy, with the flavor of chilli overpowering everything else. Even though we requested medium spice levels, we were told that the dishes are pre-prepared and couldn’t be adjusted.

Overall, this restaurant is overrated, serving non-authentic, overly spicy food under the guise of "Andhra style." The service was unimpressive, and the food was far from worth the price. Definitely not a place I...

As a group of 8, we had a dinner on (15/12/21). The Quality & Service is drastically dropped, we don't know whether there is any change in management or not. "Surely the previous reviews about this hotel are not to be taken into account".

1.They claim that they will be delivering food till 2am, but the real scenerio is that at 8pm itself most of the dishes were not there even for dine-in. We have ordered like 8starters (Dragon chicken,tandoori chicken,reshmi kebab, Majestic chicken,mutton chukka etc) none of them is hot. They didn't even heat before serving. Then comes the main course, atleast we taught this will be good but shockingly it is very much worst than starters. Meals served cold, fried rices with no taste. 4.The service is also very poor. What they say is they have only one Chinese master that's why starters are not upto the expectations, u eat the cold meals for some time I will bring the hot one after that, the reasons for the starters to be cold is because of A/C etc like tat.
