GT Empire Hotel — Hotel in Zone 11 Valasaravakkam

I recently stayed at GT Empire Hotel, Ramapuram, Chennai, for two nights (17–19). Unfortunately, my experience fell significantly below expectations and was quite disappointing overall.

Key Issues Encountered: Poor Water Supply: Very limited water flow from the bathroom taps, making basic tasks difficult.

Mosquito Infestation: The room was swarming with mosquitoes, making it uncomfortable and unsafe.

Lack of Essential Items: The room lacked any table or chair. Additionally, items normally provided as complementary—such as drinking water and soap—were unavailable unless I descended from the third floor to acquire them.

Absence of Telephone: There was no in-room telephone, preventing me from requesting assistance or items directly. Substandard Cleanliness: The room and floors appeared neglected and unhygienic, as though they hadn’t been properly cleaned in months.

This was by far the worst hotel experience I’ve ever had. The room was filthy, smelled terrible, and clearly hadn’t been cleaned properly. The staff were extremely rude and unprofessional, showing no interest in helping with any concerns. At check-in, we were promised certain amenities — like free breakfast, Wi-Fi, and a room upgrade — none of which were honored. Instead, we were hit with surprise charges for basic services like towels and parking, which were never mentioned during booking. The whole experience felt like a scam. Room is full of mosquitoes. They did not let me sleep, I killed them and they kept coming. They drank up my blood. I believe this is because of no mesh in wash room. Even the wash room door is kept closed all the time they are coming.
