About two weeks ago, I ordered Schezwan Fried Rice and Mushroom Biryani from Shree Anandhaas, Vadavalli through Zomato. The order was delivered without tomato ketchup and raita. There was no call from the restaurant to inform or suggest any alternative. I called them and spoke to a lady who just apologized, sounding like a call centre reply , no real solution offered. I had to go out and buy ketchup myself to eat the food. It was just plain Schezwan rice, very disappointing.

Again, a day before Diwali, after a tiring cleaning day, we ordered from the same branch, two Tomato Sevai, Pongal, and a set of Parotta. This time, the parcel came without coconut chutney. We had no choice but to eat it as it is. We usually order from Anandhaas because there are very few good vegetarian restaurants in our area. The quality is okay, not great, but we continue only because of limited options.

What makes it worse is the taste of their chutneys and sambar - both are too sweet! The red chutney has no spice at all, and even the sambar tastes slightly sweet. For a big restaurant like Anandhaas, it would be good to provide at least one spicy chutney option for customers who prefer it. Very disappointed with such poor consistency and lack of attention from a well-known brand. I will not prefer this hotel especially via online, lack of negligence and focusing only on money, rather the best customer service. Please visit small hotels if the quality is good and do not fall as a prey just for ambience...

Disappointed with your customer service. Have visited today for dinner, and waited for 15 mins to get the table and upon seating have ordered the food and 10 mins later the service person informed us that the dish is over, agreed due to the crowd and closing hours it happens. But later I asked for the available options, instead of sharing the menu the person was repeatedly saying that you came at the closing hours and ordering the finished dishes. I was very annoyed at that point and had asked him to call his supervisor, but to my surprise was receiving the same answers from him. And a few mins later I was asking to meet their manager, in the meantime I was served with a dish which I ordered first, with curiosity was checking with the service person how this is available now and he said that he told the kitchen to prepare it immediately. I informed them I lost my appetite and don't need your food and left the restaurant.

If a person comes to the hotel around 9 pm they might not be in a situation to go home and cook the food, so they will be choosing the option of going to the restaurant.

Is it my fault to get a table after waiting for 15 mins??? Is it my fault to get informed 10 mins later after ordering that the food is over???

I understand that the restaurant people get drained and irritated due to long working hours but at the same time you need to look vice-versa as well.

This was my second experience.

The management should definitely look into this and improve...

We visited Shree Anandhaas during our trip to Maruthamalai, and it was a delightful experience overall.

Ambience & Theme: The restaurant’s ambience is impressive, with dining halls creatively named after various names of Vels, adding a unique cultural touch. The atmosphere felt welcoming and well thought out.

Service: The service is truly commendable and sets this place apart. The staff uses walkie-talkies to coordinate and manage tables efficiently, ensuring a smooth experience for customers. Tables are cleaned promptly after each use, showcasing their dedication to maintaining hygiene and customer satisfaction. Hats off to the team!

Food Quality & Pricing: The food quality was excellent, and everything we tried was delicious. The rose milk is a must-try and stands out as a highlight of the menu. However, the pricing felt slightly on the higher side, and a more customer-friendly approach could enhance the experience further.

Facilities: The restrooms were clean and well-maintained. However, parking was a bit challenging and could be improved to better accommodate customers.

Overall Experience: Shree Anandhaas offers a great dining experience with excellent service, good food, and a wonderful ambience. While the pricing and parking could use some improvement, it’s definitely worth a visit, especially for the rose milk!

Highly recommended for the food and service, with minor areas for...

♿✔️, 🚹🚺✔️, 🚰✔️, 🚮✔️♻️✔️, 🚗🏍️✔️ Sree Anandaas is the very first restaurant in my reviewing journey where I have given a blind five-star rating — and for good reason. Every single aspect of this place stands out and sets a benchmark for how a restaurant should be. From the moment you step in, the ambiance feels warm and inviting, striking the perfect balance between tradition and modern comfort. The service is exceptional — staff are attentive, courteous, and make you feel truly valued as a guest. Accessibility has also been thoughtfully considered, with proper wheelchair-friendly facilities, ensuring that everyone can enjoy their time here without hassle. What really impressed me is the restaurant’s effort to keep a low carbon footprint, reflecting not just care for their customers but also for the environment. Now, coming to the food — it’s nothing short of delightful. Every dish bursts with authentic flavors, but one item deserves a special mention: the Gheeroast. It is an absolute must-try! Rich, aromatic, and cooked to perfection, it embodies the essence of traditional taste with an authenticity that’s hard to find. Sree Anandaas is not just a place to eat; it’s an experience that combines quality food, thoughtful service, inclusivity, and sustainability. Without a doubt, this is a restaurant that earns — and deserves — a glowing five stars from me

We went to Anandhaas for Lunch after visiting Marudhamalai temple. May be we came earlier and we got a seat immediately. If you’re coming late, you might find it difficult to get a table. There will be some waiting time if you’re coming late since they take down the count and will call us when the tables get vacant. Even though its packed fully, due to Kovai’s weather it was cool even under fan. Service was quick enough. Foods tasted good and i liked Mushroom briyani much. Naan, Wheat parotta , rumali were all soft. We ordered Kadai paneer but it was like Paneer butter masala. Mushroom pepper fry was oily. Gravys tasted good but it wasn’t what we expected. Coffee and Panangarkandu paal was nice. Its worth a try if you’re around Marudhamalai or Vadavalli and it wont disappoint you. They do have restrooms in the parking area and it was very neat. Not stinky ✌️
