Saw a lot of reviews cliaming it as a Good place to get good food. But it was a different experience for us. We tried three to four times and all the time same experience for us.
Not well maintained, place looked dark with poor lighting. Owner and the people who work were very rude, no proper response. No wonder it was empty and many items were unavailable.
Coming to food, mos of the items tasted salty and oily. Chutney was very blunt. Dosa was very oily and too sour. Sambar was also salty and running from one plate to another. Wheat Parotta was very dry and tasteless. The gravy provided was too salty and had some unusual smell. No taste at all.
Millet based healthy foods were available but we didn't try.
It is a small mess, Not recommended for family fine dining. Price is little higher comparing to the service, ambience and taste. Other better places are available in the same area.
Hygiene and covid protocols were not...
Read moreHomely type food which will not harm. Health food at reasonable prices. I had visited across 4 days and I am impressed with the quality, variety and quantity of food. Unique village blend of food made of Ragi, Kambu or just plain. Had Chola dosai, Ragi Chinna Vengaya Utthappam, Carrot Uthappam, Vazhapoo Adai with Avial which was simple and fulfilling. The owner also is down to earth and serves with humbleness. I had lunch and the rice was Ponni which I had with paruppu Keerai and Uralakezhangu. All - sambar, rasam and curd were good. Unlike the watery curd they serve in most hotels, the curd was good here. Price was Rs 95 for full meals! Most of the tiffen items, I become full with 2 items and I never had to pay more than 100 only. Carrot Uthappan was Rs.50 and post that could not have a...
Read moreI am a regular customer here. Dont look for ambience- if you look for home cooked food that will not burn your stomach or your pockets, then this is the place. They will not serve Poori, porotta or cofee/tea which are harmful to health. Instead of white sugar, they serve Sakkarai(brown sugar). You will find some exotic items like paruthi paal, spinach kolukattai, ragi puttu, poondu sadham which you can never find elsewhere. i would even rate this hotel better than annapoorana. The special masala dosas like vazhzthandu masal roast is excellent and I was surprised to see very less oil used in it. It's a small eatery which can serve 15-20 people once and it will take 120-180 Ruppes...
