Sri Anjaneya Vilas — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

I had been to Hosur earlier - but, just once and had been to the town only in passing. This is the first time I will spend some time in the town and decided to take a look around the town. Having reached early in the morning after an overnight train journey from Trivandrum, I thought I will attend to the cravings of my stomach first 😊😊 !

Sri Anjaneya Vilas had by now become familiar to me from the 'net' and also from some of my acquaintances. I decided to take a walk 😊😊.

At 8.00 am it was a pleasant 15 minutes walk from the Railway Station to the restaurant. It was worth the effort. If the Ghee Masala Dosa with 'Katti(thick)' chutney which I had for breakfast was absolutely fabulous. Overseen by the owner Sri Venkatraman and perfectly executed by his team which included among others, Sri Satheesh (one of the older staff in the restaurant) from Udupi and Sri Rajasekar (a more recent addition to the team) from Salem, the Service at the restaurant encourages the customer to sit back and enjoy the hospitality. It was an embarrassing situation when I get the reply from server that fries will be given only once and not the second time in a group of 5 people dining at my side. It makes sense for you to deny if that's been asked multiple times in a meal.

There might be situations when someone liked some of the food you provided and wanted to have it the second time. It's just a matter serving a spoon.

Certainly we are paying for the food you serve. But you people made me to feel it as begging.

Not saying just because I had this hard time.

I have been dining there continously for three days. Very first day I had the breakfast and it tasted good to me and it made me to visit your hotel repeatedly. Also I was thinking to place home delivery orders in future when needed.

I had Rava Dosa and Poori here for dinner, and I must say – it was absolutely delicious! The Rava Dosa was perfectly crisp with the right amount of spice and flavor, while the Pooris were soft, fluffy, and served hot with tasty potato masala and chutneys that complemented it beautifully.

The taste and quality of the food truly exceeded my expectations. It's no surprise that the place was quite crowded – clearly a favorite among locals and visitors alike. Despite the rush, the service was fairly quick and well-coordinated. The staff were courteous and managed the crowd efficiently.

The ambiance is simple, but clean and comfortable for a quick and satisfying meal. If you're someone who enjoys authentic South Indian food, this place is definitely worth a visit.
