Firstly, i would like to appreciate the quality of the food they serve and the interiors after renovation is awesome. Neat and clean! I would rate 4/5.
Being a local guy residing in this area for almost 25+ years, i really appreciate this place ( Sri Krishna bhavan ) for serving best food for the decent pricing when only restaurant Anugraha in porur was doing it before. Later so called Hotel Gopal pitched in and lost it’s old customers for their next level money minded business with poor quality and over pricing. Hope you guys don’t do that and will maintain decent pricing according to the commodities in the market. Special appreciation for making a neat interior work which makes the restaurant clean and neat. 4/5 again.
Now what pulls you from 1/5 here is the SERVICE !! We had very hard time making the server understand what we need and what we finalised to him. It’s the language problem here! These guys are from north doesn't understand Tamil and not even broken tamil. He mistakenly took and blamed us. He doesn’t have a note pad to note it down too. If he is a sharp enough he would have kept in mind what we finalised else he should have noted down the order. The same thing happened on the next table too and they literally got exhausted.
Incident #2,
Today around 9:44 pm, i visited the restaurant for Parcel. I got the bill and gave it to the guy ! There were totally 6-7 guys roaming here and there and nobody took responsibility to give away the parcel for the customers instead they were keen on packing and giving the swiggy and zomato guys myself and three local customers were standing for 16mins ideal and no response the order was Two Chola puri’s and one set parotta. They kept roaming and serving the dine-in people. But the problem is they almost cleared 5-6 Zomato/Swiggy guys in the meantime !
See, those who order in Swiggy/Zomato is part of your customers! But we are the actual/ active customer here. They might do it today and not tomorrow! The might find some other restaurants if your not responding. They order from somewhere else. But we local guys stepping into your restaurant are the people with lively experiencing the food/Quality if your keen in serving them you could have run an Cloud kitchen not a restaurant for all…After raising my voice and the fellow customers scolded later they served us.
It’s Okay apart from Language it’s the service is important. If you guys have less Man power that’s different i see just like 5people roaming and wasting the restaurant parcel parking for wiping hands/ mishandling the food with bare hands/ playing with thread ball in the floor.
Supervising is very important for them !!

The manager of the hotel made us wait for literally one hour just because I wore my religious attire (burkha). I had visited the hotel with my family, my husband, my 2 years old son, and my mother in law as i heard the food in this hotel is delicious. I reached the hotel by 8 pm sharp, and the hotel was a bit crowded .The manager of the hotel was noting down the name to give seats . I myself went to give the name, but the manager did not seem to note it .He was allowing people one by one, but our chance never came . Twice i went to enquire to him on how much time will it take but he did not even answer to me .i could see people who had just come got their seat and also finished their food, but we were still standing. After an hour, when my husband questioned him, he gave us a seat, and there we were waiting for another hour for order to be taken .The manager responded to everyone and took order immediately once they took their seats, but for us, he didn't even turn up for an order. Rather, he sent some other waiter to take order after an hour. When we questioned him on his behavior, he just simply went inside the pantry and hid himself. We could evidently see that he is purposely avoiding us and has a discriminative attitude, for we were muslim. In my lifetime, I have never experienced such a thing, and I don't actually believe in Hindu muslim discrimination, but this hotel manager showed me that there are still people who have such attitudes. I did not go to the hotel to have a free meal ,I am paying for everything, and the hotel showing such discrimination is truly very bad . Sambar not much quality/taste but they give 4 chutney along with unlimited sambar, service people don't know how to manage crowd or to maintain properly First IN First OUT list, dosa and all too much oil/ couldn't eat fully. But recently I had again idly sambar and sambar vada. The sambar is very good in terms of taste and quality. Sambar vada though didn't have any sambar left in box it soaked well In vada and tasty ehichbis very good thing. And introduced new items which is good. But still they definitely need to improve service. On weekdays , I went service people took lot of time to take order, and give only one idly which was ready already the person didn't got kitchen itself for long time.they might be tired when there was crowd, but service is kind of more of attitude that should be trained. Hope they have improved dosa and other items well- hopefully without any soda/additives, I am giving 5 star for food.
