Let me tell you, people in Salem (those visiting too), if you're searching for a culinary odyssey in Salem, look no further than Tandooriwala! This restaurant isn't just good, it's exceptional, and my recent experience there was nothing short of phenomenal. The friendly staff only amplified the warmth, making us feel right at home.
The true stars of the show were the dishes themselves. Our taste buds embarked on a tantalizing journey, starting with the Chicken Manchow Soup. This wasn't your average soup - it was a flavor explosion, perfectly balancing heat, tang, and savory notes. Each spoonful was a revelation!
Next came the Tandoori Prawns, and let me tell you, they were out-of-this-world! The prawns were cooked to perfection, retaining their succulent texture while boasting a smoky, tandoori aroma that was simply divine. Each bite was a burst of juicy, flavorful goodness.
The Garlic Roti was the perfect accompaniment, its soft, pillowy texture and subtle garlic undertone providing a comforting base for the bolder flavors. Then came the Rahrah Murgh, a dish that truly lived up to its name. The chicken was tender, flavorful, and cooked in a rich, creamy gravy that was both comforting and exciting.
Finally, the Pepper BBQ Chicken arrived, adding a smoky, spicy kick to the feast. The chicken was beautifully cooked, with a crisp exterior and a juicy, flavourful interior.
Every dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the culinary expertise of Tandooriwala's chefs. The freshness of the ingredients, the perfect blend of spices, and the meticulous cooking techniques all came together to create an unforgettable dining experience.
If you're looking for a restaurant that consistently delivers exquisite food, warm hospitality, then Tandooriwala is your answer. It's more than just a meal; it's an experience you won't soon forget. So, do yourself a favor and head over there. Your taste buds...
Read moreThis spot is just for people who want to waste time or spend more time in the name of food. Never go there if you are single, hungry or if you are in a hurry with other important stuff to be done on time. Takes more time to serve the dish ordered, I thought like did they just forget what we ordered, half way when you feel of moving out, they will serve half of the items u ordered and the rest of the dish u will receive only after you think of waste of time waiting for the dish ordered and about to move out. Literally they will play with your hunger and nerves if ur in a hurry. Couples who doesn't want to be spotted by others and waste time in a dark place without someone identifying you and informing to family, this spot is for you alone. Enjoy. Would never recommend this for planned people and time calculative people. They will get on your nerves. Food wise, don't try briyani if u want an authentic proper briyani. Literally they changed the briyani feel to a fried rice feel with no masala. Try it if you want something different. Don't know who named their dishes briyani and why. Still intrigued, haven't they tasted...
Read moreQuaint little restaurant serving North Indian and Indo-Chinese food in Salem.
Hot and Sour Soup was spicy. Next time I order soup, I would be requesting to bring down the spice level to a bearable medium. Chicken platter kebabs were perfectly done and flavorful. However everything on the platter had almost the same taste. There was a notable sour finish to the kebabs which was off putting. We finished our meal with a lassi which was ok.
Ambience of this restaurant was better than many other restaurants in Salem. Service takes a while but staff are courteous.
In Salem you could find a lot of restaurants serving South Indian cuisine disguised as North Indian. So it was good to find a restaurant catering real North Indian food.
