The Chocolate Room — Restaurant in Tamil Nadu

The place looks good, certainly when you compare it to places nearby. Can’t say the same about the food. The burgers are good, pasta and sandwiches are okay. Waffles are decent, personally I feel that due to the initial rush the waffle was left standing for too long and it wasn’t plated fast enough, so it was a tad bit harder than we expected. The freak shakes look amazing, but don’t quite pack a punch when you actually taste them. Crêpes, sundaes and the chocolate bombs looked good but we didn’t have a chance to taste them. Also, you should be willing to spend a little more than you would at a typical restaurant here. Pros: Food looks fantastic so it would make a great place for your Instagram and Snapchat. Cons: Don’t expect a heavy lunch at a decent price. And you might have to wait upto 45 minutes for your food.

Edit: After almost a year or more, the food quality has picked up!! Porta Bella mushroom burger, Death by chocolate pancake and chocolate bomb are a must try. Changing my rating to 5...

A cozy little set up, situated bang opposite VIT main gate.

They have the most diverse and vast variety of cocoa related items in this menu that I have encountered here in Vellore.

From hot chocolates, to hot and cold coffees, to tea, to frappe, to shakes, to desserts and a whole lot of snack items including sandwiches, pasta, pizzas and fondue. After going through their menu, one often faces the choice paradox 😅.

Had the dark Italian hot chocolate, cafe Latte and Nutella waffle. All items tasted decent.

The atmosphere is that of a typical cafe, cozy and comforting. The architecture of the ceiling and walls are quite elegant.

Great place for youth...

It was a very bad experience .

I had to sit for 1 hour and still didn’t get my order .

Still they had the odasity to tell me to wait for some time .

On the other hand few people came 30mins later than me and they ordered the same thing and they got it in 10mins while I was sitting next to them waiting for the same order . And the manager didn’t accept the mistake rather he put it all on his employee .

So I had to leave my order for which I had already paid and walk out of there as the manager was only arguing rather than finding a solution .

I am never ever going to this...
