The Midnight Dhaba at Maduravoyal is one of those places that catches your eye, not just for food but also for the atmosphere. Over the years, it has become quite popular – and you can see how well they’ve followed their marketing strategy to keep the crowd coming.
The ambience is a mix – sometimes silent and peaceful, and at other times filled with music. They have used a lot of decorative lighting, which gives the place a bright, colorful vibe. Honestly, the lighting does most of the job in making the restaurant look better than it actually is – otherwise, it’s a fairly simple setup with a tin shade roof, which gets pretty noisy during rains. The space is open type with lights hanging on the sides, making it feel casual yet lively.
On the food side – they serve both veg and non-veg, with options from North Indian as well as South Indian cuisine. Taste-wise, it’s quite average these days, though I remember 5 years ago their food was considered among the best in the area. Packaging, however, is neat and decent if you go for takeaway.
One thing to note – they don’t serve Coke or Pepsi, instead you’ll find fresh juice or packaged water. The waiting time averages around 30 minutes, so patience is needed, especially on weekends.
As for pricing – it feels slightly higher than what you’d expect from a dhaba-style setup. Still, it’s a comfortable spot if you’re out with friends, a partner, or even family. Street parking is free, which makes it easier for late-night visits.
Overall, The Midnight Dhaba is more about the vibe and late-night hangout experience than extraordinary food. It’s a place you can go to for the atmosphere and company – but if you’re looking purely for food quality, it was much better a few...
Read moreHi when we were last Saturday evening for a friend's meet at this restaurant. Initially we were amazed by the ambience and interior of this restaurant and planned to celebrate our first wedding anniversary dinner at this restaurant with friends. But all the things went wrong and decided to not visit and recommend this restaurant to anyone. Where the service of the restaurant gave bad experience for us. We don't know about other guests but our first impression made good but after that it went bad. Me n my wife ordered vegetarian food( butter rotis & mutter paneer) and even after half an hour it didn't come to our table but the very next table got served with what they ordered after us. We tried to asked to couple of times to couple of people and we got only rotis and not the side dish. We have waited and had the rotis with the dish remained from friends who already completed their dinner. When we are about finishing we enquired about the side dish, now one guy came out and told simply that the dish went to another table by mistake and for any common sense people won't take the food if they didn't ordered and costs extra on bill. They simply told and makes excuses one in hungry at that time that too after an hour of order, even a normal road side hotel have good service than these kind of restaurant we ever visited. May be they have full house but definitely it's a flaw in thier service... very bad experience for us when...

I recently had the misfortune of dining at V4 Midnight Dhabba in Mogappair, and I must say, it was a thoroughly disappointing experience. Despite the tempting menu and reasonable prices, the food quality was far from acceptable.
Chicken Dishes: Most of the chicken dishes seemed to be days old. The meat was pathetically dry, making it clear that freshness is not a priority here. The Cream Chicken, which is supposed to be rich and creamy, was devoid of any cream and flavor. Chicken Tikka was like an age old chicken 65.
Chicken Rolls: The chicken rolls were excessively spicy, masking any other potential flavors. The quality was substandard, making them hard to enjoy. The size was very big (looks like they have to throw away most of the waste chicken into it)
Overall Quality: The food was so bad that we had to throw most of it away. This is particularly disappointing given the amount spent. It’s clear that attention to food preparation and quality control is severely lacking at V4 Midnight Dhabba.
Verdict: I would not recommend V4 Midnight Dhabba to anyone looking for a decent meal. The combination of old, dry chicken and poorly prepared dishes makes it a place to avoid.
