Read moreOn our way to Kanyakumari we stopped here for lunch based on Google Reviews. First thing the rooftop was not operational So we had to go with ground floor.
I ordered a mutton Biriyani and my wife ordered a non veg meal along with Boneless Chicken 65. Mutton Biriyani was good(not awesome)even though it had only two mutton pieces, but the meal was an utter disappointed the just served some rice along with 3 non veg gravies and one veg curry which costed us Rs.125 just for rice and gravy thts way too much. Now let's come to the service, there enough bearers but non was attending us we had to call out to each bearer that passed by us but non came up we weren't served water they brought the Biriyani with no sides and for meal we had to explicitly ask for rasam and curd.
I think there too many people but non of them no what exactly needs to done. I have seen far bigger restaurants operating with 3-4 bearers and yet keeping the customers happy.
Based on my experience I wouldn't suggest this restaurant to anyone its not because of food but for the terrible service they offered. To people reading my review if you are looking for Biriyani you can stop here and if you are looking for a meal then there are few other local spots nearyby which i you can...
Read moreI have been a frequent visitor to Vairamaligai Rooftop Restaurant, but my recent experience was extremely disappointing. Our group of six ordered barbecue, shawarma, parotta, idiyappam, chicken fried rice, fish finger, butter chicken, and kalakki. While the barbecue was excellent and thoroughly enjoyable, the parotta and chicken fried rice were rather average. The butter chicken, however, was the most disappointing dish of the evening. The colour and texture were unusual, and the taste was overwhelmingly sweet — it resembled chicken kadai mixed with tomato sauce rather than authentic butter chicken. We brought this to the staff’s attention, but the replacement was exactly the same as before, which was very disappointing. On a positive note, the lime soda and paneer soda at the end of our meal were both refreshing and enjoyable. However, the biggest letdown was the staff’s attitude. There was a clear lack of polite and humble communication from the team, which negatively impacted our dining experience. I strongly recommend the management invest in staff training focused on customer service and hospitality. Overall, this visit did not meet my expectations, and I hope the management addresses these concerns to improve future experiences...
