AB's - Absolute Barbecues | Medipally — Restaurant in Telangana

Note: Writing review with my previous visiting experiences with ABs Gachibowli and Secunderabad.

Went to ABs Medipally for my moms birthday celebration on 14th April,2024.

Parking : Cellar parking was horrible with bad incline that damaged our sedan car at front and bottom.Cellar is dark with foul smell and hardly accommodates 6-8 cars.

Ambience : Good like other ABs but felt space is little small. Barbecue was unclean and moderate hot. No music around.

Service : we reached at 12 PM but were asked to wait for 5-10 mins as Barbecues were not ready. They served us a chicken coriander soup which was ok.No complimentary drinks as it's Sunday. Then Barbecues were brought with medium hotness. We asked them to bring non- veg items but they brought fruits first and then veg for Barbecue.After 3-4 rounds they finally brought non-vegetarian. My family was frustrated as the Barbecue spokes have hardly 3-4 pieces (mostly 3)only which were small again. We had to call waiters multiple times to get new Barbecue items. The worst part is we asked them to spice up the meat but they replied saying we are using low salt in view of customer health and making chilly on own as chilly powder bought is mixed with chemicals bla bla bla.Inspite of asking feedback on spice levels multiple times they couldn't reach our expectations.We had to ask them to bring chicken legs 3 times as they were least spicy with no salt.

Waiters kept asking us to try live counter and to my surprise live counter again had same prawns, chicken,eggs,chat&Pani poori and breads. No pizza or exclusive items like Duck,Emu,Rabbit,Shark etc which are available in other ABs.

Main course items finally has mutton which when eaten found that it's only 50% cooked. To my luck , I got two small metal springs of a washing steel piece in mutton.one was spit out by me and other got stuck in my throat.I had to vomit 🤢 some food to get it out but unsure if it really came out. When complained waiter , he said sorry and quickly grabbed my plate before I can take a photo.

Desserts were pathetic with limited options and only 1 sweet is okay and pastry is average while others were not good for talking. Only 3 ice creams options were available and that too were served directly with cone.

Billing : Had to ask for bill multiple times until we finally got it. Had to ask for cake during billing for celebrating my mom's birthday. Other ABs would have celebrated birthday early with dance and music for atleast 5 minutes.we hardly got music for 2 minutes and everyone is gone acting busy whilst having around 50% occupancy.

I recently had the chance to dine at Absolute Barbecue in Medipally, Hyderabad, and it turned out to be a truly delightful experience. Right from the moment I stepped in, the atmosphere felt warm and inviting. The place, though not very large compared to some other outlets, is thoughtfully designed to maximize comfort and create a lively dining vibe.

The highlight, of course, was the food. Absolute Barbecue has always been known for its wide variety, and this outlet lived up to that reputation perfectly. The starters served on the live grill at the table were fresh, flavorful, and cooked just right. Every bite felt well-prepared and satisfying. The main course also offered a good spread, catering to both vegetarian and non-vegetarian preferences. What impressed me the most was the taste consistency across all dishes — it’s rare to find every item on the menu done so well.

The staff members deserve a special mention. They were extremely courteous, attentive, and polite throughout the visit. Despite the place being busy, they made sure service was quick and smooth. Their friendly attitude added a personal touch that made the dining experience even more enjoyable.

Even though the restaurant space isn’t very large, it never felt uncomfortable or overcrowded. The ambiance was cozy, clean, and well-maintained, making it a pleasant place to relax and enjoy food with family or friends.

Overall, my experience at Absolute Barbecue, Medipally, was fantastic. Great food, excellent hospitality, and a warm atmosphere made the visit memorable. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone who loves barbecue and is looking for a satisfying dining experience...
