I recently had dinner at Aagri Katta Restaurant in Kasarvadawali, and I have to say it was an excellent experience from start to finish.
I’m a huge fan of Maharashtrian food, especially authentic Aagri cuisine, and this place truly lives up to its name. The moment I walked in, the aroma of the spices made me even hungrier. The restaurant has a simple, clean setup — nothing fancy, but comfortable and perfect for a family meal or even a casual outing with friends.
I ordered the seafood thali, which came with perfectly cooked fish curry, fried fish, sol kadhi, bhakri, and rice. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the flavors were just amazing — spicy but balanced, exactly how traditional Aagri food should be.
I also tried their chicken biryani, which was aromatic and full of rich masala, but not greasy at all. The portion sizes were generous, and I felt it was great value for money.
The staff was very polite and attentive, helping me choose dishes since I wanted to try something authentic. Service was quick, and everything came out hot and fresh. (Serve by Vaibhav) Overall, Aagri Katta is a must-visit for anyone who loves authentic Maharashtrian and Aagri flavors. I’m definitely going back soon to try more dishes, especially their...
Read moreLocation : On a Highway service road. Easily Noticiable. Parking not easily available.
Ambiance : Non AC restaurant. Has Ground floor and sub floor. Place looks neat and clean. But very congested. Tables are small. And you need to manage your plates on small table area.
Food : We ordered Chicken Thali, Bombil Fry, Bangda Fry & Solkadhi. Thali had Small Chicken Handi, Bhakri, Rice & Solkadhi. Chicken curry was thin but taste was good. Quantity was less. Bhakri was Soft. Fish Fry were big disappointment. Both bombil & Bangda were deep fried. And not appealing at all in first look. Taste was pathetic. Aagri style not Malvani style. No value for money. (Rs. 130 for 2 pcs of bombil cut into 4) Solkadhi was watery & average in taste. (Overpriced @Rs 40)
Service: Pathetic. Too much waiting time. You need to wait a long to get every items ordered. Staff doesn't care even if you call them repeatedly for anything. Very rude in behavior.
Verdict : If you want to try Chicken you may like it but for fish eaters, if you like Malvani style sea food then please...
Read moreI visited Aagri Katta Restaurant in Kasarvadawali and tried a few dishes, and everything was really tasty!
Omlette: Soft and fluffy, It tasted just like homemade but even better.
Chicken Lollipop: Crispy outside, juicy inside. It was yummy and came with a tasty chutney.
Mutton Chaap Fry: So delicious! The mutton was soft and full of spicy flavors. One of the best dishes I tried.
Chicken Biryani: Very flavorful and fragrant. The rice was cooked well, and the chicken pieces were soft and tasty. Not too oily, and a good portion size.
