Hotel Kokan Ratna — Restaurant in Thane

This place is well known to me..as I have visited thier quite few times now. Though today I m here for thier service of services of refreshment or let's say while u guys are traveling via shil Phatak/ shil road means quite ahead of that a bit somewhere in middle I guess after crossing palava area the toll plaza nilje area it's nearby that area. M just trying to remember exactly where it's located but yeah I can provide this information and now moving to main area of the review..we visited the fast food type area beside the main restaurant as I could remember for having some snacks. The vada pav I ate particularly after so long time since I have been out of India for timebeing. I had great time at kokan Ratna. For those people who don't like spicy chilli filled oliy food then plz try this vada pav. Definitely worth trying . As a normal person I can say certain people cannot handle spicy food including me..which is absolutely fine no problem In that . Also me being a medical student clearly it was not too spicy or too mild either just right combination. I saw people of nearby areas were visiting thier at evening I guess for satisfaction of the craving of snacks abd have fun time together it seems to be quite a popular place. Fir traveling ones plz do give a visit and have some time to relax and get back to being energetic again for your further journey . That is my opinion entirely. I went to this place with my office friends to bid farewell to our colleague. And we were sceptical initially of the food and ambience. But when we reached it was already 11:30PM and few others we yet to reach, and this place offically closes at 12:30AM. We were wondering how would we wrap up in an hour's time, specially when most of them want to booze :)....so we started ordering started first and booze along with it, we were 14 people and we had lots of food. Here what we ordered

1. peanuts 4 plates
2. french fries ( average)
3. manchurian veg
4. chicken platter(must order)
5. prawns 1.5kg
6. fish fry 1kg
7. mushroom
8. paneer kadhai
9. rice 4 plates
10. dal tadka
11. cheese pakoda 2 plates
12. lots of booze
13. desi chicken kadhai( must try, so delicious)
14. Naan and 12 chapati So much food and booze we couldn't finish in 1 hour hence we spoke to restaurants staff and they allowed us sit back as long as we want (Woww)...but they wanted us to place the order for food and booze before 12:30 so that they can make and pack it for the eating post 12:30 as no one would be available to serve or make food. We were okay with it. But it was fun to be there till 3AM. We left the place at 3:30AM.

Food was awesome specially fish fry, prawns and chicken. Service was quick and courteous rating 4 Ambience 3.5.

Guess what we just paid 14k..it was worth it. Must visit.

It was Sunday and home minister told me that food will not be prepared for whole day at home so the biggest question is what to find and where to find the answer was simple and it was the Google only who helped me. Searched many restaurants and finally decided to go Shalu restaurant but due to ongoing road work and traffic we directly moved to shilphata and took you turn, it was 1pm and we were hungry. We decided to go the first restaurant from shilphata and we found Kokan ratn restaurant. Entrance was too good, you feel fresh when you enter in to the restaurant. We went early so lucky to get options to get the table. there was enough space o. Table, then thr was nice place for children. The garden having many playing toys that children will be keep busy in playing and you can enjoy your lunch. Coming to the main point of the review and that was menu. We ordered salted chicken and rice for children, it was good in taste. We ordered prawns tawa fry it seems bit in higher side , taste was spicy enough and taste was really good. Coming to the main course as per instruction the chef has prepared mutton masala with typical liquid spicy gravy Mutton was nicely saute in masala and make it perfectly blend with gravy. We spent more than three hours it was really wonderful for us and children. If you really wish to spend some quality time around dombivili and shilphata this would be must visit place in your...
