Apna Sweets — Restaurant in Ujjain

I am writing to formally raise a complaint about a deeply disappointing and unpleasant experience at a restaurant located near the Mahakal Temple. This establishment engages in highly unprofessional and deceptive practices that not only inconvenience customers but also show a complete lack of courtesy and hospitality.

Upon arrival, the staff eagerly invited us in with welcoming words such as "Sir, please come in, we have South Indian dishes and more." However, once we were seated with our family and ready to place the order, the staff abruptly informed us—after a delay of 5 minutes—that only a "thali" was available and all other dishes were suddenly not being served. This bait-and-switch tactic appears to be a deliberate attempt to lure customers under false pretenses.

When we expressed our dissatisfaction and chose not to proceed with the limited option, the staff became rude and argumentative—not only with me but also in front of my family. The staff showed no respect or basic manners in handling the situation and spoke in an aggressive and disrespectful tone.

This kind of behavior is unacceptable, especially in a place that receives many visitors and pilgrims. It reflects poorly on the local hospitality standards and gives a bad impression to those who travel from afar to visit such a revered location.

I urge the concerned authorities to look into this matter seriously and take necessary actions against such establishments that cheat and mistreat their customers. No one should be subjected to such dishonesty...

Trust my review. I've had very bad experience 5 times in a row after which I have pledged to not to got to this place for entire of my life.

I ordered pizza. The cheese in that pizza was expired as it smelled very bad. Even the staff accepted this and I got my refund.

After several days, I went there and ordered Pattis. You'll not believe, the potato stuffing in those patties was expired, my mom tasted it and reported this to the manager and he also agreed on this.

Repeating the same mistake of visiting here, I ordered Chole Kulche. They didn't even had the kulche buns ready with them and after 40 mins they told me that the Kulchas are not available right now. They took 40 mins to figure out that they dont have Kulche.

Please save your money and avoid going here. I think there are just 2 or 3 food items that they make with a decent taste. Other than those, this place is not worth anything. Sorry for being so rude but this is what I and many of my friends...
