Behind Yellow Doors Diner — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

I don’t know how this place has such ratings Nothing and by that I mean not even one dish was worth it!!! There’s no option for minus stars otherwise I would’ve went ahead and given it -5stars.

Ordered chilli cheese toast- was dry sandwich bread sprinkled with cheese green chilies and dhaniya Red pasta - pasta was totally raw Club sandwich- despite asking multiple times if it will have mayonnaise- still got mayonnaise with a spoon full of veggies only in the middle with dry toasted bread which ended up being so dry that had to swallow it with atleast 2 glasses of water Tandoori platter- was promised 12 pcs instead got 3 kabas 2 pc dahi kabab with sour curd some oily fritters 3pc and mushrooms as seen in the photos-and when asked if paneer can be replaced with soya we were readily informed the same is possible instead we got some cheap full of oil snack which were not at all edible and gave you a mouth full of oil. Then came the drinks after we were done with half the food Mint mojito- the only thing edible but no where worth the price Masala lemonade- only had the flavour of soda and masala And then comes the cold coffee- on enquiring about sugar free cold coffee we were assured the same without any sugar or ice cream and when it arrived it was neither cold nor sugar free on returning the same again got a coffee with sugar though little yet not completely void of sugar.

Cheery on the cake was when we informed the platter and coffee experience to the manager he was least bothered!!!!

I don’t know how this place has such ratings!!! Our total came out to be 2226 and the food was not even worth 20% of it!!

I think it would have been a better experience to eat at the food stalls outside the sports complex!!!

Please if you are looking for a good food experience just skip this place.

And if at all you wish to go there for the ambience just stick to gold old fries I think this would be the most edible...

Heard a lot about BYD and had the opportunity to go there with friends for dinner. In terms of atmosphere and food I wasn't disappointed. The food's presentation and taste is great and the atmosphere and vibe is Instagram worthy.

My big disappointment was with the service here. I ordered a shepherd's pie and the waiter gave us a spaghetti, it should have been a simple conversation but it took twice as long for the waiter to admit/understand that we didn't order the spaghetti.

I guess he didn't want the manager to know he made a mistake because he kept insisting that we take the spaghetti instead and he'll deduct the service charge (which is actually optional) to make up for the mistake.

We didn't agree to it because we already ordered a mac and cheese pasta. Then waiter said (without going to the kitchen) that shepherd's pie wasn't available which... I'm gonna call it a lie because we were already served a dish and it had been a while since we finalised the order so we should've been told about the unavailability MUCH earlier.

So we had no choice but to cancel.

After ALL that jazz. When we got the bill, there was an "optional" service charge of 150rs. added by (I'm guessing) the waiter or maybe it's added by default.

I didn't mind it because it wasn't like the waiter was impolite to us plus he has a family to feed to and it's not nice to be rude to a service worker. We all were chill with the whole situation and I didn't object to the service charge but if it's optional then ATLEAST we should've been given an option of how much we want to pay.

Inspite of all that, I might come back another day to try the forbidden...

Behind Yellow Doors is among the best cafes I have visited in Varanasi . Ambience of the place heart soothing and is very calm one can spend quality time here . Place is good for everyone Couples , Family, Friends. The combination of white and yellow is so good it stole my heart. it's a theme based cafe which offer outdoor sitting and also indoor and both are so beautiful . Everything has been decorated Place is totally Photogenic one cannot resist to take selfies here I like the big door which actually exist there and also which is the name of this cafe. They also offer some games which u can play while waiting for your orders to be cooked and also one cute swing that my friend like very much.BYD also has very cute boutique hotel named as Stay Banaras

Staffs are very friendly and take care of your needs. Now come to main part the Food.. Mostly food are good in taste and pricing are wise .I visited twise and had good experience both the time. we ordered veg Quesadilla which was scrumptious and highly recommended and Cappuccino was average in taste. Second time we visited and ordered Cajun Mushroom which was crunchy nice snack , spaghetti we found not that much tasty and Oreo Shake was tasty . Only thing that is not good is it is situated not on main Street it is inside Gali and u have to put some effort getting location...
