This hotel is for some people but not for everyone. It's new hence needs lots of improvement like staff coordination, improve front desk communication, etc. if you are looking for convenience to the gaths and the Varanasi temple area it's far-ish ( 20 min rickshaw ride) The staff is courteous ( most but not everyone in our experience). The lady at the front desk was not the best since day one. We booked our room through Agoda and did two different booking since we decided to add an extra day to our stay in the hotel. I requested a non-smoking room ( for health issues)they showed us a room facing the street ( noise concerns), and the room smelled strongly like cigarettes, they mentioned spraying some air freshener as a solution. we requested a different room but was told that there is only one available and the room we can give you has two single beds, and she pretty much told us take it or leave it, non sympathetic AT ALL( we decided to cancel and look for another hotel) as we were looking a supervisor ( we think) came by and said that they could place us in a different room in the back ( although WAY smaller than the one we booked), regardless of the size the smell was a big factor and very concerning for us. We decided to stay and enjoy our time in Varanasi. Management offered us a fruit plate as an apology for the inconveniences( so thank you!) with the smoke smell ( they said that's smoking is not allowed in every room), but even our room had some smell as well.
Anyhow, I got sick and we decided to take our day off and stay in. However, the lady from the front desk called us multiple times with things such as " madam, bill due" ( which we mentioned we'll pay at check out); then again and again with the last one being " it's afternoon Madam, what happened?" I had fever and was trying to sleep ( mentioned being sick in the previous interaction). We paid for the last night previous to our arrival, but we were unable to pay with the first booking before hand. We were planning to eat dinner and pay for every service all together ,but the constant bugging about the bill made us feel like we were two thief's or con-artists.
The rooms are very cozy and clean to the best of their abilities ( found some old crackers in the drawers and some trash in some cabinets, the next day told the cleaning staff if they could please clean our room and they did some but not everything. There's hot shower 24/7, wifi was ok in the second floor. Safety is good since they have a security guards 24/7. Breakfast is provided very limited ( mainly Indian cuisine). Guest can very loud( our luck ,they were talking at 3 am), and you can hear the doors opening and closing, not much sound proof. As mentioned, this can be for some people but not for everyone. My low review goes in general, there's room for improvement and potential, but front desk definitely needs some help with customer care and communication. English was not the issue, rather the way she approaches the customer, and how she talks to them. I'm normally a calm person, and very understanding as I work in a hospital ( quiet chaotic environment) and understand the difficulty with customer care, but she definitely got...
Read moreA relaxing weekend We stayed at the Royal Vista Hotel for two night and I must say that the stay was extremely comfortable. Location: It is a safe area as the hotel is located right in front of Rudraksh Convention Hall Gate 4 and a police station. As solo female travellers we wanted a safe and quiet location, the hotel provided us both. Electronic auto rickshaws are easily available and even the hotel can manage for a rickshaw on your behalf. The tourist spots including the ghats are at a twenty minutes distance from the hotel. There are many food stalls at a walking distance from the hotel. Cleanliness and Room: the entire city is kept sparkling clean including the hotel. The room was well kept and cleaned at a regular basis. The restaurant and lobby were continuously cleaned. The hotel has opened recently a few months ago hence everything is brand new. There was supply of hot water throughout the day and night. Food: The chef is extremely talented. During our visit we feasted on Allu Paratha, Kichuri and more. There non vegetarians delicacies were missed by us as we travelled during Navratri and choose to eat vegetarian food. I am looking forward to returning to Royal Vista to taste more of the chef’s creation. The behaviour of the staff were very warm and we felt right at home. The took time to guide us about the local tourist sport and were extremely welcoming. The General Manager took special care to ensure that we had a comfortable visit. While conversing with the fellow guest they too confirmed that the best thing about the hotel was the staff behaviour. It was a lovely visit and I can’t wait to...
Read moreTheir Delux and super delux rooms are extremely small so much that you cant even open the door if you put a 3rd mattress|Couple of the staff at reception are extremely rude|They intended to charge more than the quoted price for loss of key and when I brought to their notice the they agreed to take less. They took cash for loss of key and there was no bill issued|Now comes the real issue..we lost our 5500 kept in room and when asked for video clips they politely refused saying they had already checked nd they found no one entering the room, leaving no option for me but to let it go as I did not want to create a scene with my parents and inlaws ( senior citizen) as they would be very scared.|It's quite far from temple and given there are so many options near the temple you can easily avoid this hotel unless you have some work at the convention centre and ok with all the issues I have mentioned|The only saving grace for them is good food but that also suffers bcos they are super short of staff. Also don't avail their breakfast as they have very limited option and the very basic bread toaster was not working well. Special mention of Subham who was single handedly managing all the guest in the restaurant with a smile always ..around 5 tables. You can imagine how much would be the wait time.|Their access road is short but narrow and unapproachable with sign board to show where is the hotel||I would definitely not recommend anyone unless there is no other option ...but trust me there are plenty of them ...that too...
