If you are looking for a family-friendly place in Meerut that combines good food, a decent ambiance, and reliable service, Bikanerwal in Modipuram is one of the better options. Situated on the busy Modipuram stretch, the restaurant is easy to locate and offers ample parking, which is always a plus in this part of the city.
The first thing you notice when you step inside is the neat and clean environment. The interiors are not overly fancy, but they are well-maintained and spacious enough to accommodate families, groups of friends, or even office gatherings. It has a casual dining vibe, and the staff is usually quick to guide you to your seat.
As for the food, Bikanerwal maintains a wide menu, covering traditional North Indian dishes, snacks, sweets, and fast food items. Their thalis are popular, offering a wholesome meal with good variety and taste. Chole bhature, rajma chawal, and dal makhni are worth trying if you want comfort food. For snacks, the golgappas and chaats are fresh and flavorful. The sweet section, especially rasgulla, gulab jamun, and kaju katli, reflects the typical Bikanerwal quality—rich, fresh, and authentic.
Prices are reasonable, making it a value-for-money choice, especially considering the quantity served. Service can get a little slow during peak hours, but overall, the staff is polite and responsive.
In short, Bikanerwal Modipuram is a dependable spot for both quick bites and proper meals. Whether you’re on a highway journey or a local resident, it’s a good place to enjoy traditional flavors in a clean and welcoming...
Read moreDuring my recent visit to Bikanervala in Modipuram, Meerut, I was thoroughly disappointed with the quality of the food and service. The Chilli Potato, a dish I usually enjoy, was particularly subpar. The potatoes were soggy, lacking the expected crispiness, and the sauce was overly tangy, overwhelming any other flavors.
The dissatisfaction didn't end there. The Chole Bhature, a staple at many Indian eateries, was equally disappointing. The bhature were excessively oily, and the chole lacked depth, tasting bland and under-seasoned. The Raj Kachori, which I had hoped would redeem the meal, was stale, and the fillings seemed far from fresh.
Service was another letdown. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, the staff appeared indifferent and inattentive. Requests for water refills were ignored, and the overall demeanor of the staff lacked the warmth and hospitality one expects in the service industry.
The ambiance did little to improve the experience. The dining area felt cramped, and the cleanliness was questionable, with uncleared tables and litter on the floor. This neglect contributed to an unwelcoming atmosphere that made the dining experience even less enjoyable.
In conclusion, my experience at Bikanervala, Modipuram, was far from satisfactory. The combination of poorly executed dishes, lackluster service, and uninviting ambiance makes it difficult to recommend this establishment. I hope the management takes these concerns seriously and implements necessary improvements to restore the quality and reputation of this...
Read moreLocated at a very convenient and handy location, this outlet is a hub for all the small gatherings and parties.
Be it kitty parties for women or hangout for college students, this place is not only a one stop destination for all the crowd from nearby, but also for all the travellers travelling on NH-24. (One of the busiest highways that runs to most of Uttar Pradesh)
The outlet is 2 floored. The ground floor is the restaurant. There is a proper seating arrangement to accommodate around 40-50 ppl in the restaurant. The first floor is a small party hall that can be booked for small scale functions. It can accommodate upto 50-60 people altogether. One can select from there built in menu and finalise the caterer. (If you need to book the hall, you need to meet up at the outlet prior because it mostly stays booked, being so close to residential colonies like Modipuram and Pallavpuram)
The place offers all types of sweets and all chat pakoras for one to relish. The food I would rate 9/10 (since there is always a scope of improvement).
