One of the oldest restaurants in Meerut, this branch of Delhi Chole Bhature on Abu Lane may have once been popular, but it’s clearly past its prime. The restaurant is extremely crowded, and you have to grab a table yourself, as the staff won’t assist you in finding a seat. Even though their service is quick, the wait can still be around 10-15 minutes.
The interior feels outdated and more like a rundown dhaba than a comfortable restaurant. While the chole bhature plate is economical at only ₹70, the hygiene standards are disappointing. The staff doesn’t seem concerned about cleanliness, and the utensils often look unwashed. It has the feel of a fish market, with a chaotic and cramped atmosphere.
Though getting chole bhature in an air-conditioned setting sounds appealing, the lack of hygiene and care from the staff make this a place I can’t recommend. If cleanliness and a pleasant dining environment matter to you, I’d suggest...
Read moreI recently visited this restaurant and was disappointed by the service. The staff's inability to manage guests was evident. However, what was more disturbing was the egoistic behavior of the waiters.
During my visit, I had to request multiple times for my table to be cleaned, which was finally asked by me in a passive-aggressive manner to which the waiter responded with attitude and ignored my table while cleaning all the other tables. This all was done when I had a 6 months old baby with me.
To make matters worse, when I complained to the receptionist while leaving, they simply waived and asked me to leave without addressing the issue.
The restaurant's hospitality is lacking, and their staff's egoistic behavior will ultimately lead to a decline in customers. I will not be returning to this restaurant again where a customer with a little baby is also not...
Read moreThis had always been our favourite restaurant for chole bhature, but our recent takeaway for sure left a nasty taste in our mouth. My mother had ordered three plates of chole bhature for takeaway and when we unpacked it at home, it had only four bhatures (packed together). When we called the restaurant back, not only would they not accept their mistake but refuse outright. It's a small thing and almost feels like overreacting, but their behaviour when made aware of this issue really ruined my mood. I had faced minor other issues earlier too (with zomato delivered food from this restaurant - there were flies in idli), that I never thought I'd share publicly, since this could happen anywhere, right? But since the restaurant clearly does not care a thing about fixing or acknowleding issues, why should I...
