Kingdom of Momos — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

NOT RECOMMENDED!!!!

Before I start off, let me tell you that though this place is nearby, I found it through Google and read the reviews which inspired me to give it a try (big time foodie so I keep trying this way).

The place is located in Rajendra Nagar next to Sher-e-Punjab and is very easy to locate. The seating arrangement is outdoors and the kitchen is one level down, which can be seen from road.

Coming to the food, I opted for a take away and ordered Fish Tikka (300 full plate) and Tandoori Afghani Paneer Momos (160 full plate). The counter guy took a lot of time to get the order ready (which is understandable as there were 2 other orders lined up).

The fish tikka was tasteless, no salt, no proper spices and nothing attractive. The most shocking part was the quantity, I had ordered a full plate but the order had few (they were not 8 for sure) very small (1/2 inch pieces) with loads of onion to compensate so that it doesn't look like they cheated. Guess what, even then the quantity was appearing to be very less!! I heard them saying that fish is less but the counter guy said, "dekh lo ek plate ho hi jaega". I am pretty sure they just made it up and it was not actually a full plate which was served (or rather packed). Having paid 300 bucks for that was a total waste of money.

The Tandoori Afghani Paneer Momos were better as compared to fish tikka but again, there was almost no filling, tandoori taste more on the burnt side and no proper spices. If you actually want to have good Tandoori Afghani Paneer Momos, better try Singh's Grill Momo Hut or some other place where they serve for half the price.

People have mentioned good things in reviews about this place and I am really sceptical if they are paid reviews or their quality just degraded over time. Sorry for being so straight forward but this is not what I had expected.

Best place for the ones who would love to eat something tricky...chatpata nd a bit of spiceness of india....huge variety of momos..i tried paneer momos and tandoori momos both were delicious..its also one of the best place for non-vegetarians...being not much a lover of non-veg i tried fish tikka the very first time and loved it..it ws something more than expected...ending up having 2 plates🤭..they also have open roof sitting arrangement outside..i would really love to visit this...

Heard many times about this place... But never gone to this place.. N finally visit this place tomorrow...for some exclusive Non veg items.. I ordered drums of heaven, chicken tikka n chicken manchurian gravy.. Drums of taste like heaven...so juicy n moist inside... scrumptious..
