Lemon Grass Restaurant — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

To begin with; I am a budget traveler, a flash packer of sorts, and look for hotels in the $30 USD range. If I go over budget, no worries and if I find really cheap accommodations that suite me that’s an added bonus.||||I’m currently on my second tour of India (February 2018 - March 2018). I find that all the hotels I have stayed at are pretty much the same. No matter what price I paid (500 - 2500 INR) at any given hotel, I found the cleanliness to be substandard, the rooms outdated and in need of serious remodeling and maintenance appears to be non existent. Typically the bedding, linen, pillows and towels are worn, stained and should be replaced. Hot water and water pressure can be an issue and I have at times skipped a shower. Amenities are totally lacking, mostly you get a roll of toilet paper and a bar of soap. Most budget hotels do not clean the rooms on a daily basis, seems to be upon request. Wi-Fi is hit or miss, some places it was quite good, others not so much. Never found much in the way of English language channels on the television so I did not watch it. A visit from a mosquito or two was a nightly occurrence at just about every hotel I stayed at.||India is noisy, and I found most hotels to be as well, from a combination of street sounds, staff and guests. In all honesty, none of the Indian hotels that I stayed at deserve more than three stars.||||Now to the review: ||I chose this hotel because of its location, it is on the ghats, and price, which is lower than many others that are situated along the river. From my research, I was not able to find a better option.||||However, it is a typical budget hotel and my above rant applies to this one very well.||||The big down side for me is the hot water; it is frequently unavailable. The old building obviously has issues with electricity, power outages were a daily occurrence during my nine night stay.||||I could stay here again for sure but it really only warrants a two to three...

Final opinion- Only go if you didn't get better option.

I've been there for 16 days in both AC and Non AC rooms In case of Non AC rooms:

Observation-You will get attached Indian washroom with one ceiling fan and a TV. Bed suits for only one person.

Suggestions- Not good summers and they don't provide at ground or first floor, if you'll ask on such floor then they will increase the room rent or they will say that it is occupied or mostly they say senior citizen are residing. Room rent i gave 600 for Non-AC room because I was there for long time but for short duration they will charge 800 or more. You can take free of cost drinking water (chilled or normal)

Incase of AC rooms:

Observation- They have a behaviour of shutting down AC from their cabin. Normally they turn off the AC between 3-5AM. Bathroom is attached having western style seat. Bed suits for only 2 person but can be 3 if person living there is slim. Along with bed and AC the provide TV and a table and cupboard.

Suggestions- Default temprature set on AC is 26 and they didn't provide remote of AC, but if you have any device which supports remote of any device then you can change your AC temperature ( that what...

Worst Hotel. Stay here only if you want to spoil tour stay / vacation. Don't go by their good reviews as all the good reviews written here are fake.

Rooms : Bedroom were Extremely extremely small. All the rooms are half the size of normal room. very old rooms. Paints are coming off from the wall. Totally unhygienic place. Rats were roaming in our room. Bathroom were dirty. They even switch off AC from outside in the middle of night and say that there is load shedding in the area. When i shouted on them after waiting for 5 hrs then they switched it on.

Online Booking: They don't acknowledge online booking and once you reach the hotel they will ask you to cancel the booking and book with them directly as per the high price demanded by them.

Service: Very bad service. No wi-fi network. Wifi works only at reception not in rooms. They don't have phone in rooms for room service, u have to go to reception every time even if you want water.

Hygiene: Totally unhygienic place. This is house of rats and mosquitos.
