Molecule Varanasi — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

I live in mumbai. I work as a investment banker and also a part time food blogger. I attended one of my cousin son's birthday party on 13-Jan during my varanasi visit. Generally in Maharshtra and Gujarat I find disc ok for families and rarely u find issues. But banarasi gentry in Molecule varanasi was not suitable for family. People openely we're smoking in family zone. The other issue I observe is while guests were coming few ppl came with sweets in the party as part of banarasi tradition. Security at gate didn't request the guests not to take these items and allowed them with these food items. Frankly speaking there were no sanitization and security checks done at the entrance, even though there were very few guests. I can understand lapses in sanitization and security on weekend or special day like new year eve but there was no checks even on a weekday with so less guests. 3-4 children below age of 6 started eating those sweet and bread as there was delay in food. Generally if would have been Maharashtra or Gujarat the staff would have handled the situation in a very polite and peaceful manner by calling the host seperately and saying sorry that they allowed guest without security checks and allowed those eatable and can they pls ask those children not to open any further items.

But here in varanasi they handled the situation exactly opposite. There were atleast 10-12 rougue brats not in uniform, started shouting loudly in front of the guests. I tried to help my bro by taking those guys away from guest and sort out the situation. But they were all excited and high spirits. I hope u got it. Those boys started to checking bags of all ladies. Instead they should have called ladies staff to check the bag. I was really pitying on my cousin the way those gundas behaved. But then I realized this was UP. I decided not to speak anything as my family was terrified but those bullies behavior and queitly left the place. Just one suggestion to guests and visitor,don't just go by frachise name, everything depend on local management. Generally in metro these places are managed by hospitality SME's. But here it looks it was managed by 10-12 rude brats , all below 30.

Long story cut short, if you are with family and want to visit molecule varanasi, just think twice . It's not a family place. Only Male guests, it's a good place for drinks and...

Gulabjamun Cheese Cake It's a must try dessert for all the sweet tooth people . The presentation and the taste both were amazing and decent.

CW: Inhospitable attitude of the staff My male friend and I went for dinner after a concert. He wasn't wearing shoes or full trousers which violated the dress code. The manager permitted entry but gave us a balcony seat where there was no AC or TV. It was the finals night of Champions Trophy and after a while we requested to let us seat in the interior space because it had a TV with the match showing. They said that we were 'lucky' that they even sat us, like bro what? We decided that at no cost we were having dinner there. So we ordered fries and a drink. Usually plates should arrive before the food but that night the food arrived without any plate or silverware and the staff left it to not return back. We waited for the utensils but nobody came and there wasn't any service staff present at all in the balcony area. We started eating it directly from the basket and towards the end of the meal when the few remaining fries were already cold did a waiter come with plates which he put down (read: almost threw) at our table like it was on fire.
