Aptly named, as they are trying to be everywhere. Pizza Place, Chinese, Italian, American Comfort Food, Scandinavian, North Indian, Hyderabadi, a dash of Vietnamese….. Location: Situated in what might have been part of underground parking lot in architect’s mind, the windowless corridor is an okayish setup with faux portholes. Service: Well, Well. Our waiter wordlessly darted away, in the middle of order taking, to address a forgotten customer satisfaction issue at another table. Little later, same person whacked the water bottle from our table to refill glasses at an adjacent one. Servers would regularly hold mid-corridor chats like Dhoni-Kohli planning strategy change. Enough said. Food: Was actually very good. We ordered Panko Onion Rings, Golden Fried Crispy Spinach Corn, Parmesan and Herb Hasselback Potatoes (Swedish!). All of these impressed. Only that mayo was the default sauce with all. Other: the pizzaiolo by the showcase oven was very professional but another person, working alongside, continued to nibble at food during our entire presence; pretty downbeat sight. Then, 10% service charge was defaulted for our group of 3; One would think this starts for a group of 6... Special Mention: Surprising for a restaurant offering takeout and delivery to not have an online menu.
Maybe I’m being overly critical after an extended exposure to the rounded elegance of Marriott Bonvoy, Whitefield, but management needs to understand that diners come for an experience (a loud, cantankerous child with a larger group of admiring adults, didn’t help); it’ll be a pity if such off-beat food, that Meerut foodies would appreciate, suffers for other reasons. We’d give 5* for food; lowered to 2* on averaging out. The staff was very insistent that on-site review be submitted; we politely declined, but here it is...
Read moreI had high hopes for my dining experience at Outer Limit ,Meerut , but unfortunately, it fell far short of expectations.
Firstly, the service was incredibly slow and inattentive. Despite the restaurant not being particularly busy, it took an unreasonably long time for our orders to be taken and even longer for the food to arrive. The staff seemed disinterested and lacked basic hospitality skills.
Moving on to the food, it was a major letdown. The menu boasted a variety of options, but the execution was lacking. The dishes arrived lukewarm, indicating they had been sitting out for some time before being served. The flavors were bland and lacked the freshness and vibrancy one would expect from a supposedly reputable establishment.
To make matters worse, the prices were exorbitant for the quality of food and service provided. It felt like a complete rip-off considering the overall subpar experience.
Overall, I would not recommend Outer Limit , Meerut to anyone looking for a satisfying dining experience. There are plenty of other options in the area that offer better value for money and superior quality. Save yourself the disappointment and...
Read moreWe discovered the place as it was the venue of one function of a wedding. That night we had our own room where we had the best party ever, great music, fantastic finger food (then later amazing curries) in a pub-feel like space. We asked the owner for a tour of the whole place and we were very impressed by how much they can cater for, from small rooms for intimate parties to huge ones for big birthday (one birthday was partying hard too). The next day we decided to go back for a late lunch and to explore the menu. and once more we where very impressed but the variety and quality. I love the decoration which is trendy and family friendly. but that would not matter if there was nothing else. We had a great pizza in a proper pizza over (later in the trip we have what I believe most restaurant call pizza - horrible stuff - and made us appreciate even more what we had early on), some chinese noodles, tandoori platter, papaya salad... it was all fantastic. The food also came very quickly, which I was suprised given the quantity we ordered. I wish I had taken more pictures to convey how great...
