मसालेदार चिकेन को पराठे में कायदे से मोड़कर बनाये जाने वाले इस डिश को याद कर हर किसी के मुंह में पानी आ जाता है माना जाता है कि देश में सबसे पहले काठी रोल बनाना कोलकाता में शुरू हुआ था

कोलकाता के निजाम रेस्तरां में 1932 में इन Rolls को बनाना शुरू किया गया था यह वह दौर था जब भारत में अंग्रेजी शासन था और रेस्तरां में मुख्य तौर पर अंग्रेज अधिकारी ही खाना खाने आया करते थे

पहले कबाब बनाने के लिए लोहे की सींख का इस्तेमाल किया जाता था जिसका बाद में बांस से बनी लकड़ियों ने स्थान ले लिया बांस की छोटी और पतली लकड़ी को बांग्ला भाषा में काठी कहा जाता है

Nam bahot suna tha but I really Don't like the taste. I ordered Double Egg Chicken Roll and found it very different its not that spicy chicken inside the roll. It was like roasted stuff and feeling dry with only taste of raw onion inside the roll. Had heard of this place from many of my friends and today I got the opportunity to try my hands on the chicken roll. I had huge expectations from this place but the overuse of chilli sauce and tasteless chicken and the overall sour taste of the roll was not worth the hype.
