The Centurion — Restaurant in Uttar Pradesh

Pathetic and waste of money.. Such an overpriced and Overrated place..They are charging whopping Rs.1100+ for a Dinner buffet on Monday with such a basic food options and most of them are tasteless and feels like road side food. When we enter there was group of 30 people and we 6 person and rest of restaurant was empty. Coming to the food review, they have 5 nonveg starters out that 4 are chicken only (tandoori, chilli, tikka, wings in which tandoori and tikka are so chewy and chilli was like road side chinese) and a fish finger which has thick layer of batter..No prawns or Mutton option in starters, I mean seriously in Lucknow there is no Galauti or Shami kabab..They have nonveg pizza in which they give a tiny piece of chicken and rest it's like a thick base cheeze pizza. Crispy corn was crisp but bland in taste. Soups have only veg option and that is tasteless too, worst part was they don't offer even a glass of soft drink with the buffet forget about any mocktails. Coming to the main course, they have Mutton nihari which is bland and not up to standard of lucknow..and there is no Khamiri roti to compliment with. Then there was okay type fish curry and chicken handi. I have a sweet tooth so was looking for some good deserts but I again got disappointed as they don't have any special items in the menu which I could enjoy, only basic pastry brownie and gajar halwa types sweet dishes and kulfi was like thela wali kulfi. I'm a nonveg lover so I only focused on those items here. I have eaten multiple places in Lucknow including old Lucknow's iconic restaurant and in several premium dining places but this place disappointed me so much. Even the atmosphere is very dull and boring. If you just want to waste your money then only go there...

The Centurion can found on the top floor of the Wave Mall, near Polytechnic Chauraha. It is on road and is easily accessible. The people here are very cooperative and the atmosphere of the place is chill and relaxed. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you get to see the beautiful Ambience and you are suddenly relaxed, there is a play-zone for children for them to engage in the games and for you to enjoy your food. They have a very good collection of songs which play smoothly in the background.

Now coming on to starters, there were 5 varieties of starters in veg as well as non-veg (Paneer tikka masala was 😋). The pizzas and soft drink were also provided. My all time favourite corn was also served. The starters were all tasty except for fish, probably because I don't like fish. The main course was very wide in variety and had numerous veg and non-veg options. There were also some items like Gol Gappa, etc which we can have almost anywhere. But for me the main part just doesn't ring the bell as Sweets section🤩.

The Sweets section had everything that I had never tried/tried very few times before. It had from cheese cakes to cup cakes (2 varients) to Apple pie. It also had some familiar things like pastries, Gulab Jamun, kheer. Also no food that ends without the Ice-Cream. There were 3 flavours of ice cream namely chocolate flavour, vanilla flavour, and mango flavour.

There is also a bar section which provides a variety of alcohol.

Well, I was there for the lunch which is between 12 to 3:30 and could be extended till 4 o' clock.

All in all, the place is a must visit and it surely doesn't disappoint, rather it made us...

So I went in there with a friend for buffet on 2nd November 2023.

There's not much options in starters and whatever there is it's just not upto the mark for what they charge.

My experience was so bad that I couldn't move on to the main course but had to stop just trying the starters.

The attitude of the chefs and the managing staffs was so bad after complaining about the problem that I could not be there anymore and have anymore food.

First turn off was the cold pizza that was served to us and after complaining about it we were served a hot one too but it didn't taste good. My friend alsotried their chicken lollipop which wasn't fresh. Other starters also didn't taste that good.

We had to quit when we were served white sauce pasta with just corn and capsicum in it even though I personally had asked the chef to use more veggies as I like it that way. After complaining we were served another plate of white sauce pasta but with proper veggies like jalapeños and mushrooms.

What we realized is they don't care, they don't serve you the best food at first but only after you complain about it.

We asked the cashier to bill us for the food we were served, not the buffet because we stopped during the starters only and didn't even try the main course or the desert but the cashier didn't agree even though it was there mistake and he just gave us 10% discount on the buffet bil for two.

My suggestion would be not to visit this place. If you want to eat in a buffet go for Barbeque Nation, although they charge you a little more than this place but their food, service, behavior and everything else...
