A Culinary Gem in Meerut: A Review of The Namak Co. (Previously The Yellow Chilli)
Forget the ordinary, Meerut! The Namak Co. (previously The Yellow Chilli) is a revelation, an explosion of taste and ambiance that will leave you wanting more. From the moment you step in, you're whisked away from the bustling streets into a world of sophisticated elegance. The decor is a feast for the eyes, a tasteful blend of modern and traditional elements that creates a warm and inviting atmosphere.
But the true magic unfolds on your plate. The food presentation is a work of art, each dish meticulously arranged to tantalize not just your taste buds but your aesthetic sensibilities as well. The quality of the ingredients shines through in every bite. A special mention goes to the Masala Onion and Raw Papaya Pickle – a unique combination that bursts with flavor and perfectly complements any dish.
The highlight of our experience, however, was the impeccable service. The staff is not just professional but courteous and attentive. A big shoutout to Mr. Chakradhar Paani, whose menu suggestions (both vegetarian and non-vegetarian) were spot on!
Our family of four embarked on a culinary adventure, and each dish was a delightful surprise. The Lehsuni Tandoori Chicken was perfectly marinated and cooked, leaving a smoky, garlicky aroma lingering on your palate. The Veg. Talumein soup was a comforting warm hug in a bowl, bursting with fresh vegetables and a touch of spice. The Charan Jor Garam kebab, true to its name, was a delightful dance of flavors, and the Hari Mirch Parantha – oh, the Hari Mirch Parantha! Crispy, light, and bursting with the subtle heat of green chilies, it was a revelation. The Butter Chicken, a classic, was executed to perfection – creamy, flavorful, and paired beautifully with the pillowy soft Garlic Naan. And to end on a sweet note, the Firni was a light and refreshing conclusion to a truly memorable meal.
The Namak Co. is a must-visit for anyone seeking a fine-dining experience in Meerut. It's a place where families can bond over delicious food, friends can catch up in a stylish setting, and anyone with a discerning palate can find pure culinary satisfaction. So, ditch the ordinary and head to The Namak Co. – a hidden gem waiting to...
Read moreFirst things first, the entrance is a little difficult to locate. And then, I really, really wanted to give 4 stars to The Yellow Chilli, if not for the non-grilled paneer in paneer tikka lababdaar and for the slight rawness of naan (although it was visibly baked very properly) .
👍 good cleanliness, prompt services, good ambience, and polite and courteous staff
🥰 The complimentary papaya chutney was fabulous with spot on authentic taste, taking me on a trip down the memory lane. Thank you so very much.
Sanjeev Kapoor's grinning photograph on the menu card amps the gustatory anticipation and softens the blow of the somewhat high prices of the items listed on the menu. The menu is not vast and, clearly, limited in terms of non-vegetarian food.
Paneer tikka lababdaar, modification of the well-known paneer tikka, as a main course item sounded intriguing enough to force me to try it. The preparation was just a tad bit high on oil and spices, and certainly disappointing in that the paneer was not grilled or smoked. The naan looked really well-baked but felt a little raw in the mouth.
Overall, a good experience with great potential for turning into a fine dining experience...

I am a vegetarian so I can comment only on it.
It is as follows : Food : First things first..the food was awesome, honestly it was above my expectations. Do try their Lal Mussa Dal,Tomato Cheese Naan and Paneer Taka Tak. I'll give it a fair score of 4/5
Service : Service is what they are nailing, they did take care of everything even before we could request it, be it topping up Onion and Raw Papaya Salad. Very polite behaviour from Staff. I'll give it a score of 5/5
Ambience : Ambience was average but it doesnot mean it was bad. I'll give it a score of 3/5
Value for Money : It's not either expensive nor cheap, the price justifies the quality they are providing.
I am so satisfied that I am writing this review. Thank you for reading so patiently,...
