Honest Review – Very Disappointing Experience
I visited this café on 23rd October 2025 with my wife and young child, and it was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had—especially surprising in a tourist area.
As soon as we entered and approached the counter to place an order, the owner (who was at the counter) was extremely rude. When I asked about the menu, he simply said, “No idea,” and showed no interest in helping or serving customers.
I politely requested a bowl of Maggi, to which he bluntly replied that he doesn’t make a single portion. I asked, “So do I need to order 10 Maggis then?” He didn’t respond at all.
Feeling unwelcome and disappointed, we left the café immediately. On my way home, I decided to write this honest review so that others don’t have to go through the same unpleasant experience with their families.
Very bad experience. I strongly suggest: DO...
Read moreChardukan in Mussoorie is one of those places that gets hyped for good reason. We decided to go to Anil’s Cafe, even with plenty of other options around, and man, we ate like we hadn’t seen food in years. Picture this: 4 plates of maggi, 2 servings of fries, 7 coffees, 2 pancakes, 4 plates of veg momos, and a bun omelette—all for under ₹2000. Can you believe that?
The food? Absolutely 11/10! It was delicious and totally hit the spot. Now, about the uncle who runs the place—he might come off as grumpy to some, but honestly, it’s more about the rude customers. The place is run by him, his wife, and one helper, and trust me, considering the massive crowd that Chardukan pulls in, they’re doing an incredible job. If you’re in Mussoorie, don’t miss out on this gem. The price, the food, the vibe—everything is...

I recently visited Anil's Cafe, in Landour Mussoorie, with a stunning location and decades of history. The experience was a mixed bag - the bun omelette and snacks were delicious, while the pancakes were okay. The cheese Maggie was a highlight, though!
However, our experience was marred by the owner's brusque behavior. When we ordered, he curtly said, "I'll cook your food when I have time." A little courtesy and politeness would go a long way in making customers feel welcome.
It's a shame, really, as the cafe has so much potential. I wish the owner would learn to communicate more politely - it would make all the difference.
