Bawarchi, for all its reputation in Dehradun, gave us an extremely disappointing experience on Sunday night. We ordered tandoori chicken, expecting a flavorful, perfectly cooked dish, but what we got was nothing short of a disaster. The chicken was raw, undercooked, and lacked any real marination. It was tiny, as if they skimped on both quality and quantity. They completely ruined what was supposed to be a special evening with our family visiting from Delhi, and instead of impressing them with Dehradun’s culinary scene, we were left embarrassed. We have now visited the restaurant on two separate occasions and just now placed a takeaway order! Each and every time we have loved the food and interaction with this friendly restaurant. To find such attentive staff who is knowledgeable and kind and equally makes excellent recommendations is rare to find these days.
