I am not sure if I should be angry or ok as you have said some good thing and some things which are not true. First thing I wanted to thank you for replying and hoping the best for me, nice if you however you said I was entitled. My mother, who is over 40, had been brought up in a hardworking family with just enough money to fend for themselves and she has taught me the same values so calling me entitled is just stupidity (not calling you stupid however if you were a col. in the army I hope u were better their than in your restuarant.) Also if the staff is not doing their literal job properly then it is a problem. Also do not consider me as a regular 10 year old. I know some things you may not know and you may know somethings that I don't, however I am not the average 10 year old cuz I'm philosophical, not entitled and a topper so please do not question my knowledge, especially about dignity of labour. I study in school and I have a chapter about this but if your staff is not good it will be your problem. About the waiting time, you are not wrong however I am 100% not the centre of the universe and I have been ignored but saying that was a big stretch. Please improve and saying that the quality is not good due to many people's orders which needs to be delivered is just not an excuse. That means you lack staff or your food is not always good unlike your 5 star reviews, you should just accept you made a mistake and done! Thanks for the luck, your restuarant will need it too

Horrible customer service and not so tasty food which was below average. The owner / manager talks rudely to the people who write bad reviews and the staff were showing horrible attitude and the worst thing is me and my family had to wait 45 minutes to get our order! The orders were not served with specific changes as we had asked for a pancake with Nutella on the side instead of spreading on it, however they spread the Nutella on the pancakes and my 4 year old friend refused to eat it as she didn't eat chocolate. She also waited 50 minutes for the pancake. The pizza was slightly below average and the chicken burger was below average and extremely disappointing. They had an attitude issue and not hospitable and the food took for than 30-40 to come and the strawberry milkshake was very bad. This was my second visit to Colonel's Café, coming back after nearly six months. Based on my previous experience, I had high expectations — and I’m happy to say they didn’t disappoint! Here's a breakdown of my visit from my point of view:

Exceptional Service

Full marks to the service team! They ensured our orders were taken promptly and served without any unnecessary delays — a key factor that elevated the overall dining experience.

Delicious Veg Pizza We ordered a medium-sized veg pizza (I can’t recall the exact name). It came with six slices and was served with the usual oregano and chili flakes. The thin crust was crisp and flavorful, and the toppings were generous. The moment it arrived, it was a visual treat — the kind that instantly gets your taste buds going!

Tasty but Underfilled Veg Mushroom Burger We also tried the veg mushroom burger (again, don’t remember the exact name). While the taste was great — juicy and satisfying, served with fries — I felt the filling could’ve been a bit more generous to match expectations.

Peanut Butter Shake with a Twist

I customized the peanut butter shake by asking the server to add extra banana, and I’m glad I did! It was thick, flavorful, and incredibly fulfilling. A perfect blend of health and indulgence.

Lemon Chilli Fries – A Must-Try!

We wrapped up the meal with a plate of lemon chilli fries, and honestly, they were chef’s kiss. Crispy, tangy, and paired with a delicious dip — I found myself licking my fingers. Highly recommended!

Consistent Quality

Hats off to the team at Colonel's Café for maintaining the café so well. The ambiance, food quality, and service have remained top-notch, even after months...

I entered the place after seeing its raving reviews on google. However to my disappointment the food was not worth the money at all. Their service is not up to mark. No matter how pleasing the ambience might be but if the staff is impolite, the overall experience of a cafe gets affected. I ordered a cold coffee with ice cream- which did not have ice cream at all and on being asked to our server at the time he goes like-“If you ordered it then it must be it”. On being asked the second time again he went to check with the chef and tells the ice cream is blended in it. The wood fire pizza was nice but still not worth the money. These aesthetic views can be captured anywhere in or near the hills of Nainital and there are other great cafes nearby which serve great food too. So I would give this cafe a 1/10. Would not recommend.

Edit: We also ordered cheesy fries in which fries were too salty and cheese was just sticky packaged cheese with no seasoning whatsoever. It is not about affordability its about worth and your cafe did not live upto its name- “Colonel Cafe”. (No discipline in food consistencies, tastes and or behaviour) There are 2 reviews for the same order thats how disappointing the experience was- to which the management replied “they asked how the food was and we replied positively” unfortunately there was no one to cater or ask or help us with our order Sir.🙏🏻
