Stumbled upon this little gem in Mussoorie, and it turned out to be one of the best food experiences of the trip! This cafe is all about authentic Garhwali flavors, warm hospitality, and a stunning view of the hills that makes you want to stay a little longer.
The food feels like home-cooked goodness—simple, fresh, and full of flavor. The Nettle Kebab was very unique and tasty, the Mandwe ki roti was soft and wholesome, and the Jhangora ki Kheer was the perfect sweet ending. You can tell they use fresh, local ingredients, and every bite reflects the love and tradition behind Garhwali cuisine.
What makes this place even more special is the peaceful vibe. Sitting by the window with a plate of delicious food and looking at the hills—it's an experience in itself. The staff is kind and welcoming, making sure you feel at home.

Read moreThis charming local eatery, nestled in the serene Himalayan ranges of Landour, just a few kilometers away from Mussoorie, offers a delightful culinary experience. While reaching here might pose a challenge due to the steep ride, the journey is well rewarded. Led by Ashu and her skilled chef, the restaurant specializes in traditional Pahadi cuisine. I highly recommend trying their thali, which provides a tantalizing glimpse into the authentic flavors of the region. Every dish, from the Ragi rotis to the Bichu Ghass curry, red rice, Pahadi dal, Potato curry, pickle, kheer, and the standout Hemp seed (Bhang Chutney), is incredibly flavorful and true to its roots. We also savored their Ragi paratha stuffed with Aloo masala, which left us thoroughly satisfied. A visit to this establishment is a must, and I assure you, you won't be...
Read moreIf you are looking to taste authentic Garhwali food then this is your place to be. Although the restaurant offers a broader menu of typical Indian food, however i would highly recommend the garhwali thali. It contains 8 items; Phanu (soup), mixed dal, kandali (stinging nettles vegetable), aloo thichwani (mashed potatoes curry vegetable), pumpkin/cucumber raita, red rice, mandwe ki roti, bhang ki chutney, jhanhore ki kheer.
We also tried rhododendron root fresh soda, on the recommendation of the chef. It was too sweet for me. However the rhododendron root flavour was exciting. I would recommend making it less sweet.
And finally, the ambience is spectacular. It's right on top of an uphill road. The seat next to the window is absolutely spectacular.
I would highly recommend a lunch at...
