My visit to Mana Village in Uttarakhand was nothing short of enchanting. As I journeyed deeper into the Himalayas, the landscape transformed into a breathtaking tapestry of lush greenery and snow-capped peaks. Upon reaching Mana, I was greeted by the warm smiles of the locals, their traditional stone houses standing as a testament to their enduring way of life. It felt like stepping back in time, away from the hustle and bustle of modernity. One of the highlights of my trip was the Badrinath Temple, just a stone's throw away from Mana. The aura of spirituality and serenity that enveloped the temple was palpable. The sight of the Alaknanda River flowing gracefully added to the tranquility of the place. I ventured on treks in the vicinity, each one revealing a new facet of the Himalayas' grandeur. The fresh mountain air and the symphony of nature were invigorating. At night, under a canopy of stars, I shared stories and laughter with the locals, gaining insight into their rich Garhwali culture. Mana Village was a sanctuary of natural beauty and simplicity. It left an indelible mark on my heart, a reminder of the serenity that can still be found amidst the towering mountains of Uttarakhand.

This is not only the last shop, several shops are there I didn't feel anything special about this village.

India's first tea shop in Mana Village is a hidden gem nestled in the breathtaking mountains of Uttarakhand. Located near Vyas Gufa, this tea shop is a must-visit destination for anyone traveling to Badrinath Dham. The 3-4 km trek to reach the shop is an experience in itself, offering stunning views of the surrounding landscape. The tea shop serves a variety of teas, including hot tea and green tea, accompanied by delicious Maggi noodles and snacks. The ambiance is simple yet cozy, making it the perfect spot to relax and enjoy the tranquil surroundings. What sets this tea shop apart is its unique location and the opportunity to experience the local culture. The villagers are known for their warm hospitality, and visitors can enjoy traditional Bhotiya tea made from yak milk and butter. I've had the pleasure of visiting this tea shop twice in the last year, and each time I've been impressed by the breathtaking views and the delicious food. If you're planning a trip to Badrinath, make sure to stop by India's first tea shop in Mana Village. The experience will leave you feeling refreshed and rejuvenated.

Review for Mana – India’s Last Village 🇮🇳

Mana, often referred to as the last village of India, is a place that left my heart full and my soul at peace. Just 3 km from Badrinath, it’s easily accessible. The short trek to the village is not difficult at all – you can comfortably walk, and for those who need support, there are locals offering basket rides too.

What makes Mana truly special is the warmth of the local villagers, especially the women. They sit together making handcrafted woolens – shawls, caps, pouches – and trust me, you won’t be able to resist buying at least one item. Knowing it’s handmade, right there in front of you, adds so much emotional value to every purchase.

Now about the Saraswati River (Saraswati Nadi) – this is where nature and myth come alive. The view is divine. Just standing there, watching the forceful river disappear into the rocks (Pathal), makes you pause and reflect. Don’t miss this spot – take your time, breathe, and feel the energy.

You’ll also find some historical spots and ashrams, like the cave where Ved Vyas is believed to have written the Mahabharata (you were wondering about Ramayana, that was written by Valmiki – but both writers have a presence in the region’s lore). These caves carry immense spiritual significance.

The much-hyped “Last Tea Shop of India” is a fun checkpoint. The tea is like you get at any other mountain stop – warm and comforting, nothing extraordinary, but the idea of sipping it at the last Indian village makes it memorable. You’ll find light snacks there too.

Just a heads-up – it gets cold even in summer, so carry proper woolens. But trust me, if you’re visiting Badrinath, you simply must include Mana in your itinerary. It’s not just a place, it’s a feeling – of simplicity, devotion, and quiet pride in our land and...
