I've never tried South Indian in Dehradun before and trust me after coming from Pune, I could finally find a place where the taste is authentic and the service is awesome. You can pour the tasty sambhar in Idli and medu wada and enjoy the flavours soaked in it..masala dosa is filled with delicious masala and nariyal chutney with another spicy one makes it even more flavourful. I've tried Idli, medu vada, sambhar, masala dosa, plain dosa here and trust me you won't find such tasty south indian food with affordable price here in Doon! I highly recommend this place to all the foodies :))...

I have stayed in different parts of the country for longer durations than a tourist does, because of which I have experienced and enjoyed the true food of those regions. In Dehradun, Oberoi's Restaurant is, so far, one of the only restaurant with the authentic taste of south indian food. The soft idli, medu vada, and sambar and chutney with tart flavour were my favourite. Must visit for every south indian food lover.

Warning: people who like fried dosa shouldn't visit 🙄, only those wants to taste authentic food...

First I was shocked after seeing the board of filter coffee at Dehradun. Secondly I was shocked after my first bite of Onion uttappam with sambar. The samber made perfectly like a South Indian. Yes .u are right. The owner of this restaurant , ma'am talks very fleuent in Tamil , English , Malayalam and Punjabi. After that I ordered a filter coffee. It was also matched with Tamilnadu.
