We came to the cafe on the recommendation of a local guide and our driver who expertly drove us up the rather terrifying kacha road that leads to the property. The views from the cafe are stunning. The place is quaint and run by two ladies. Neeta didi and her team served us freshly made authentic kumaoni food on a thali. We opted for the half thali which had 3 veg dishes - pumpkin, aloo ke gutke and lye ki sabzi, gehat ki dal, pahadi raita with mustard paste, red rice, kheer, salad, masoor dal kababs, two chutneys one that was made with caramelized onions and dried mango and spices which was so sublime and the famous bhaang ki chutney, we had hot madua and wheat rotis made on the choola with ghee.
