The Post Office Bistro & Bar — Restaurant in Vasai-Virar

The Post Office" the name itself is enough to grab attention. With the most unique name the outlet also have the most unique ambience justifying its name. The outlet is located at vasai near ST Bus Station. It takes around 15-20mins from vasai station by cab. Sharing autos are also available. The decor with frames and letter boxes and letter envelopes will surely amaze you. It has a very good seating capacity of about 50 people. The service is fast and the servers serve you with a smile and also helps you up with the menu.

•Goti soda : ❤😍 must must try This was completely heaven and my personal favourite. Nowadays we couldn't find it easily and finding this at a classy restaurant like this amazed me. Strong soda with chatpata masala. Very refreshing. Definitely a must try.

•Oreo shake: 😊😋 The proportion and thickness both were good and the taste was also quite good.

•Virgin Pina Colada: 😊😋 The proportion of pineapple and coconut was very good and balanced.

•Fruit Punch: 🙂😊 This one was more on the sweeter side. I personally didn't liked it much however my friends liked it!

••Soups:

•Desi Manchow Soup : ❤😋 Spicy Chinese soup along with fried noodles.

•Sweet Corn Soup: ❤😘 Similar to regular sweet corn soup.The taste was very good. Both of these soups were great and can be a good start for your meal.

••Starters:

•Papad crusted Panner: 😋❤ This was completely unique and new for me. 7-8 pieces of soft cottage paneer with a coating of papad served along with salad and onions. Chatpati green chutney was also served along with it which added more flavor to the dish.

•Dhaba style chicken: 😘❤ When it comes to chicken dhaba is one of the best place for it and we all miss that dhaba style chicken but not to worry here you get the same yummy finger licking dhaba style chicken with the same awesome taste.

••Mains:

•Murg adraki dhaniya: ❤😘 Red colored spicy sabji with enough pieces of murg. If you like spicy sabji blindly go for this one.

•Butter kulcha:❤😍 Soft and buttery kulcha not at all chewy.

••Desserts

•Tiramisu:❤😋😘 Had an amazing flavor of coffee and cream layered on it. My personal favorite. Must try.

•Blueberry Cheesecake:❤😍 Perfect dessert for ending up your meal. Thin crust over which there was a thick layer of fresh cheese and cream which was topped with blueberry sauce which gave an awesome flavor to it.

Overall it was a great experience. Fancy ambience with awesome food...

It feels great as Vasai is coming up with good restaurants. Post Office is one of them. I had taken my hubby on his birthday. I must tell you it was our first visit and the ambience was out of the world. The entrance is good wherein you can click pictures with your family & friends.Gone are the days when we used to order from menu card. Menu card is been replaced by Tab and its so cool. We had ordered:

Malvani Chicken- An excellent and delicious Malvani Chicken with taste of authentic Malvani spices &

Barbeque Chicken Sizzler- The unique taste of sauce brings together a range of flavours to give you a delightful experience. Served with sweet & spicy 🌶 sauce, different boiled veggies, french fries 🍟 & fried potato balls. Both the dishes were nice and good in taste. I liked the concept of bill as they give in small post office boxes :-) Must visit restaurant!!

Now, this is my second visit to this Restaurant and it feels excited to visit it again.I had ordered: Chaupaty Chicken!!No the dish has nothing to do with “chaupaty”

It was on the restro waiter’s suggestion that I chose to have it and guess what it turned out to be one of my favourite. Chiken chaupaty is all about chunks of juicy zesty medium spicy chicken cooked in really finger licking masala and served in classic retro style ceramic jar which I think adds a twist to the dish. The dish is sprinkled with finely chopped coriander and onions . Also even though the texture and look of the dish comes out like the regular chicken dishes but trust me the taste is something really different and delicious compared to the regular chicken starters.

Kung Pao Chicken!! My first try towards this Chinese dish and it turned out to be amazing. This highly addictive stir-fried chicken continues to be one of the most popular Chinese dishes. The crisp- tender, mouth watering chicken pieces is perfectly combined with salty, sweet, sour, and spicy Chinese sauces exploding with flavors. Veggies are tossed with chicken and topped with green spring onions.

If you are bored of the regular chicken stir-fry and want to try something new, then you must give this a try.

It was a really hot day, and I was tired! When I happened to get a call on my phone from Mr.Mayur Chorghe .. He asked me to come and review his restaurant outlet at Vasai. He was so humble and urged me to come and bless his restaurant. I totally forgot about the tiredness and got ready to go on. Vasai is indeed far for me, but trust me the experience at ‘Post-office’ was totally worth it. The Post Office Bistro & Bar - VASAI

I got into the cab and just as I reached , mayur ensured that even the driver who drove me to Vasai got a meal. I walked in admiring the very thought provoking ambiance that directly transported me back to the old independence era! The staff was courteous as ever, and imparted with some royal treatment. I was given so much respect , that I am indeed running out of words. His gestures were humble, and wouldn’t put a morsel in his mouth till I took a bite of mine.

The food was delicious. I fancied the Papad Paneer Tikki. This was cottage cheese stuffed with crispy papad, which indeed took me by surprise. I sipped on a delicious Burmese soup too. Unlike other Burmese Soups this was well balanced with vegetables and coconuts supported in the appropriate portions. The Pink Sauce Penne Pasta is a must have! It is deliciously creamy and saucy, and consuming that pasta leaves one with a wholesome experience. The Tandoori Con on cob is another celebrated item here. The corn is roasted in a traditional charcoal fired kiln, and is smeared with a lip-smacking dash of spices. The corn is served with fresh coriander and mint chutney and a fresh green and purple salad.

I ended on a sweet note with a tiramisu. It simply felt like I was eating the sky, as the dessert was fluffy, light, and I could sense every flavour in my mouth. The rates printed on the menu are unbelievably reasonable, as it is mayur feels that it is his duty to feed the hungry, and no one should go back from his restaurant with an empty stomach.

I was pleasantly amused by the way the bill arrived. The bill arrived in a small envelop, that was suitably put in a small post office box. Overall, a wonderful joint, and a very pleasant...
