Very bad experience. Ordered ilish bhapa. It was tasteless. Before ordering, I asked them will it be good? They told "yes". So, I Ordered it on believing them. But after having it, I became I'll, was feeling nausea, vomiting. Also Ordered chicken curry. The dish was full of oil, no gravy and also was tasteless. The roadside stall chicken curry is much better than this restaurant's when compared with price as well as taste. As, i ordered for my family, so i had ordered total 6 items. Among them, there was mutton kasha, it was not perfectly cooked, very hard to chew. Also Ordered, shukto and chutney, bith were equally bad. As it was a takeaway order, I personally went there, ordered food, one of the staff's...

This restaurant was recommended by one of my close friend. I usually drive up to the hills from Kolkata and on my return I cross Berhampore during noon aka lunchtime. As my 3 yr old kid travels with me, I am always at the lookout for good and hygienic places for lunch.

Ahar ticked all my checkboxes. The food quality is impeccable as well the location.

My wife ordered a paabda meal (Pic attached). They made it with eggplant and black cumin (Begun aar kaalo jeera). It was yum and authentic Bengali.

I ordered a Hilsa. I was so busy in gobbling that up, that I couldn’t click it. 😂

I am definitely visitinh Ahar again on my next trip to North Bengal.

I hope they keep this quality and...

We ordered for three veg thali, one chicken kasha and one mutton kasha and one bhaja mach. The thali offered 3 different sabzi which were a kofta, shukto and alu-posto, along with daal, shredded potato fries, chutney. The content of each katori or the container was enough for a single person. Apart from the kofta other items tasted good. The piece of the fried fish was large. Both the chicken and mutton kasha had two pieces per serving, which i think they can increase to 3 for the price they are charging. The inner atmosphere was cozy and it wasn't much crowded. The overall price was ok in my opinion and the service was also good. One can plan a family lunch there without...

We had dinner last night. Service & atmosphere are great. Food is bad. We had garlic butter nun, hydrabadi chicken, handi chicken & chicken tikka masala. Nun and tikka masala were good. About the other two - handi & hydrabadi cotained chicken pieces were coated with flour/cornflour like thingy. More like chicken pakoda pieces were given into the handi & hydrabadi chicken recipe. And the chicken pieces felt not fresh. Also thinking about why the hyderabadi chicken gravy was green. I ate that menu before in other restaurants as well. They were not green......only the tikka masala & nun were good in my opinion. Staffs were friendly. But we didn't like the food.
