Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor" is a delightful culinary destination that conjures up fond memories of the benevolent Ghost King who once granted three wishes to the beloved characters, Goopi and Bagha. This restaurant, bearing the whimsical name, has been a treasured institution, charming patrons with its scrumptious Bengali delicacies for many years.

The name "Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor" itself evokes a sense of enchantment and nostalgia, mirroring the magical world created by Satyajit Ray in his classic film. Much like the Ghost King, the restaurant has been granting its own version of wishes, albeit in the form of culinary delights.

One can't help but be captivated by the warm and inviting ambiance of the restaurant, where traditional Bengali culture seamlessly blends with modern aesthetics. The décor, adorned with elements reminiscent of Ray's timeless creation, transports diners to a world where wishes can indeed come true.

Now, let's talk about the main attraction—the food. Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor lives up to its reputation with a menu that boasts an array of delectable Bengali dishes. From the rich and aromatic flavors of Macher Jhol to the comforting embrace of Shorshe Ilish, each dish is a testament to the restaurant's commitment to preserving the authenticity of Bengali cuisine.

The highlight of any visit to Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor is undoubtedly the exceptional service. Just as the Ghost King selflessly fulfilled Goopi and Bagha's wishes, the attentive and hospitable staff here go above and beyond to ensure that every diner's wishes for a memorable dining experience are granted.

In conclusion, Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor is not just a restaurant; it's a culinary journey through the enchanting world of Bengali cuisine and storytelling. Whether you're a fan of Goopi and Bagha's adventures or simply a lover of delicious food, this establishment is a must-visit. Like the Ghost King, Bhooter Raja Dilo Bor leaves you with the sense that your wishes for a remarkable dining experience have indeed...

As a Bengali, nothing ever truly compares to "Maa er hath er ranna" — my mother is undoubtedly the best chef when it comes to Bengali cuisine. However, I recently decided to take her out for a dinner experience and chose this restaurant with high hopes. Overall, the experience was pleasant, and the staff were warm, courteous, and very responsive, which made us feel comfortable and welcome.

We tried several dishes. The Muitha (kofta) wasn't quite up to the mark for me — the texture didn't work, though I must say the gravy was flavorful. The fish fry was excellent — perfectly cooked, crispy on the outside and tender inside. We also ordered Hilsha, which came in a generous portion. However, the taste didn’t quite shine through; it lacked the depth and signature mustard aroma that you typically expect from a good hilsha preparation.

The mutton was a bit of a disappointment as it wasn't tender enough. Upon raising the concern, the staff very kindly replaced it. Unfortunately, even the second serving had the same issue with tenderness. To their credit, they offered to change the dish again and even packed it for me at no additional cost, which I truly appreciated.

The ambience is thoughtfully designed and conceptually pleasant. We did enjoy the overall vibe, but I believe the place would benefit greatly from a more thorough approach to cleanliness.

In summary, while the food had its hits and misses, the hospitality and service stood out, and I sincerely appreciate their attitude toward customer...

The concept and plan was good for a unique experience but the service quality makes it a horrific experience. 1st thing you notice - this place is full of mosquitoes. And sitting arrangement is worst. If 4 people order thali on a 4 seater table, you need to keep items on floor or on lap. 2nd, for both bagha and gopi thali the items were cold except for rice. Taste wise only some are good, rest majority items are just bland or tasteless because they were precooked and cold. 3rd service is terrible sometimes they forget the order or don't mention chnages in item. Our 2nd starter came after main course was finished, after 3 reminders. 4th - one terrible experience we had- we ordered 2 thalis and some items. Bagha thali is supposed to have payes as per menu. We didnt get it. Upon asking the service guy informed payes is finished, so replaced with misti doi (at night) and the other guy probably forgot to mention this during placing order. Worst part - people who came in after we started eating ordered payes separately and not as part of thali and they got it served, sitting right next to us. When complained, service guy kept saying "i understand you" repeatedly. When asked to do something if you understand, he went inside kitchen and didn't come back to us at all. We were done anyway and left without waiting any further. For one time experience, you may give it a try. Otherwise try something else. Even Kasturi has better service and tatse in food...
