Café Coffee Day - Dum Dum Road — Restaurant in West Bengal

I was passing by the dumdum road yesterday night, thought of getting myself a coffee at ccd. I ordered one devil's own for mom-inlaw & a strong coffee frapp`e with vanilla icecream topping. I clearly said out my order loud atleast 2-3 times & even pointed out the extra icecream topping on their menu card. The guy who took the order wasn't prompt enough. There were literally 2 more couple other than us, ccd took 20 mins to deliver the order, devils's own was ok. But they delivered me vanilla flavoured coffee. When i asked to change my order first they were charging me that it seems i had placed my order wrong, when i clearly said again about my order again they said "vanilla icecream is over". When i insisted to cancel my orders they said they will manage somehow. What they gave me was the same vanilla flavoured coffee with some left over chunks of broken vanilla icecream somewhere visible at the bottom of the glass. I was so much annoyed with the extra sweet flavour when i asked to make them strong coffee. So much unprofessional. Ccd elsewhere in kolkata...

Cafe Coffee Day – Dum Dum, Kolkata

This outlet of Cafe Coffee Day is on the expensive side. Nothing on the menu is less than ₹350, except for the ice cream (₹150 for 2 scoops). The ice cream tasted good, but still feels overpriced compared to the quantity.

When we visited, the place was almost empty, probably because of the pricing. Only one staff member was present, who attended us and took the order. The ambience was decent, but there was a strange smell inside (maybe from the coffee beans, though it reminded me of something unpleasant).

The sofas felt old and not very comfortable, lacking the fresh and modern vibe expected from a cafe like this. Considering the fact that the surrounding area has many hostels for students and working professionals, CCD should rethink their pricing to attract more customers.

Overall, a good place but overpriced...
