Calcutta Bistro - Chinar Park — Restaurant in West Bengal

I had a very bad experience today itsef at this place the video of which I have as well. The staff here thinks they can talk loudly and scare the customers after backing up some scams of the management. They charge 120 Rs for just 250 ml (actual price 20) of a cold drink and when we asked them to open the bottle in front of us and pour it in the glass they refused to do that also! They said its against their policy, so we all know what policy they have, they might be mixing water in the cold drinks and giving who knows thats why they were reluctant to serve in the glass from the bottle in front of us even though we did not ask for the bottle. This scam is very common in restaurants and when we confronted them then the manager over there started speaking loudly to the staff about me in a threatening voice, I called him and told him that if he wants to speak to me he can come directly and speak to me, he was trying to show his bravado from far, when I again questioned him about this insane cold drink policy he had no no answer and said its management policy. These people try to threate customers in an indirect way by shouting at the top of their voices from far and since we did noit get affected by his drama he stopped after that. I recently dined at Calcutta Bistro, and I must say, I was thoroughly impressed with every aspect of my experience.

Hi I am Rudra Saha , a 12 year old. Recently during this October 2024 I visited Calcutta Bistro. Here is how it was .

As usual I I arrived 5 minutes after the last order taking time and the staff was still cooperative and took my order. For starters we ordered cream of mushroom soup 🍲, corn chicken soup, crispy chilli baby corn 🌽 and Hara bhara kebab 🍢. All the soups were very creamy and delicious 😋. The crispy chilli baby corn had a nice crunch and spice to it. I personally did not like the Hara bhara kabab very much, that may differ on personal taste as I do not like vegetables. For main course we order the kesariya malai kofta, cheese naan and butter naan. The kesariya malai kofta was specially soft and delicious. It had a nice creamy texture and the flavours of the kofta and the gravy blended very well together along with the cheese naan.
