**I feel like I was scammed here. We visited this place on mother's day and we were denied any discount on that day. I knew there were discounts and also I checked with the Chowman app and discount was available. They didn't let us pay through the Zomato app as well (I had a scratch card coupon to use). I am not sure why though. Please not listen to the waiters there and use your coupons and offers. Cause I feel like I was scammed as I had to pay the full amount. And I tried a lot afterwards with their customer support but all I got was an apology. And I am not the only customer, I witnessed the waiter denying any offers to other customers as well.
Now, Let's go one by one regarding our experience on several other aspects::
Parking :: The place is situated a Little away from the main road but you'll get enough space for parking. They do not have any dedicated space but you can park on the Service Road.
Cleanliness :: The place is neat and clean.
Space :: They have 2 separated spaces. One inside, with the AC and one outside. There are 2,4 and 6 seater tables arrangements.
Ambience :: The place is not over decorated but rather simply decorated with keeping their theme in mind. The ambience was nice.
Table accessories :: Fork, spoon, chopsticks are provided. Tissue papers are given. 2 types of sauces and green chilli in vinegar is available on the table. Also we noticed there's one calling button device on the table although we did not use it. There were three options. Bill, waiter and tissue.
Food :: The quality and quantity of the food is just amazing. We got what we ordered. The taste is so good. I want to go there again.
Staff behaviour and service :: Staff behaviour was very nice and cooperative. The waiting time may vary depending on the rush and crowd. For us, we got our starters after 15 mins of waiting.
Washroom :: The washroom and wash basin is on the first floor so you need to get out of the restaurant and climb up one floor of stairs and get there.

A huge example of how the hospitality industry can leave lasting impacts on customers.
We went to this Chowman outlet at 10:40 PM. Yes, pretty late. So we were skeptical whether they would be open or serving new customers at this hour.
However, they welcomed us in, with only a small request: to place the order quickly and all at once, if possible, as they'd close their kitchen at 11 PM. Of course, we understood and complied, keeping our order simple.
But more than the food itself (which we have experienced before and know how good they are), was the hospitality of the team. Throughout our dining experience, the team has been nothing less than welcoming, accommodating and professional.
In fact, at some point, the only thing that made us uncomfortable was our own presence - as we were holding the team back from ending their shifts and going home! So naturally, we were eating as fast as we possibly could, when one of the team members assured us to take our time, with a big smile. Even if it was just a light and formal exchange, these small things go a long way.
Until the time we left, each and every team member treated us with care and gave us exactly the same amount of attention we would've received at any other time of the day, bidding us farewell with still smiling faces and exchanging "goodnights".
Trust me, the food might have been simple on our end, but this experience will stay in the memory for a long, long time and bring us back here...

The moment I entered the restaurant at 330pm, sept 14, 2025, there was an obnoxious smell. It kept bothering me long. So after I felt that something was wrong, I approached a waiter and asked him about the same. Intuition told me and the waiter too. They had done pest treatment last night and it was not even 24hrs. This is violation of health and safety of people. I don't know how they can do this. We immediately left the place and went to Bhuter raja dilo bor on the 1st floor. Debaditya Chowdhury, you need to read this. Worst is if you are already aware. I'm doubtful if I need to put an official complaint for this. Under the Food Safety and Standards Act, 2006 (Schedule 4), restaurants must maintain a pest-free environment without compromising hygiene. Post-treatment, premises should be cleaned and ventilated to remove any chemical traces—lingering smells suggest non-compliance, which could lead to fines (₹5,000–₹1 lakh) or inspections.
The funny part is due to such an issue we had already stopped getting food from 6 Ballygunge Place in Newtown since 2 years approx. Looks like the sister brand is also facing operational...
