Nababiana Restaurant — Restaurant in West Bengal

Did not meet my expectations at all. I booked this restaurant for a family lunch party of 25 on 17th April 2022. Being within the Nazrul tirtha Campus, the location and ambience is excellent. But, the restaurant failed to keep up with the expected standard. Following are the shortcomings faced: Poor AC functionality. Even after our repeated request, they failed to fix up the problem. Result - two super senior guests and one child fell ill. Starter started after repeated request, just before the lunch hour. Half of our guests were not served. Veg dal was one of the items, that was being served with a tablespoon !!!, Even after we told them to use a proper serving spoon, they did not oblige. 1st Fish item - not repeated. 2nd fish item - repeated once. Mango chutney - stock finished, could not repeat at all. One food item was not of fresh quality, they did not agree or acknowledge. The package cost of Rs 1100/plate is way too expensive considering the service, food quality and restaurant ambience. Reported our issues to the Owner, Mr Santanu Hazra and Floor manager, Mr SuraJit Mondal, but they did nothing than to apologize for our inconvenience. I did the mistake of fully paying them. It appeared that they were trying to save on food quantity by restricting the serving. To my estimate, total food quantity distributed was not more than 17-18 full plate equivalent. Nababiana is one among the moderate restaurants in kolkata. We have been to Nababiana to understand how a Nabab feels unfortunately the food experience was not awesome, but yes it was definitely OK. In the beginning we had soft drinks those were good. The starters were nice. The kebabs got both its quality and tastes, though we expected much better food quality. The Biryani was Okiesh. The Biryani Rice was light and was non spicy. We had Chicken Biryani, though the portion of the chicken was not at all at par according to its price range.

Let's talk about the ambience. The ambience is really good and spacious.

The quality of the food was good and the quantity as well. The food tests are good. The price of the food was reasonable. The price of the food was very affordable. The restaurant was situated on the ground floor of Nazrul tirtha in salt Lake sector V. The ambiance of the place was nice. The behaviour of the employees was good. The service was quick. This is a good place for family, friends, kids, couples. This is an alcohol free restaurant. No alcohol is served here. Paid parking is there outside Nazrul tirtho. Rs. 20 was charged for car parking per hour and Rs. 10 was charged for two...
