Adyar Bakery — Restaurant in Zone 10 Kodambakkam

I beleive adyar bakery had a reputation a decade or two back. I was never a frequenter or a fan but dod have some regard. Now It's become this extremely overpriced mediocre place. Chilli powder seems to be the only spice they use in the savories. No flavor and extremely hot burning both the tongue and the pocket. The worst is those bit sized savoury tarts priced the way they are, I guess, just because they have some white stuff resembling cheese on top. There aren't any tags in front if the items and so obviously no indication of which are veg and which are nonveg or have egg. To be frank they have lost their authentic taste. From my childhood Myself great fan of them Now they lost their credibility. Flavours less sometimes they do have spolied cake. The lady working in the shop sold spoilt cakes which we found out after opening in our residence. We went back enquired about the grievance, the woman shamelessly admitted the modus operandi of the famous "ADYAR BAKERY" is to sell off the old cakes and then reload fresh cakes.
