Our maiden visit to this restaurant on Rajiv Gandhi OMR Salai, adjoining Holiday Inn. Went with a lot of expectations on South East Asian food. Restaurant has a tropical vibe, was buzzing when we entered at dinner time around 9 pm. The ground floor was fully occupied & we were seated on the first, which was almost empty. We were craving Nasi Goreng & ordered one with chicken, besides a mixed Veg noodle - Yaki Udon, Street food which was the speciality for the month - Pulled Chicken Taco. The food was served very quickly & as we dug in, disappointment hit us on both the rice & noodle, the food had a very strong burnt flavor, almost as if it had been charred. The Restaurant was quick enough to offer us a different dish or replace the same. Since we came for the Nasi Goreng, went ahead with it. This time it was better. They explained the noodles had a strong soy sauce & that's the flavor of the dish. I had to trade my Tacos for the noodles with my fellow diner! We then ordered a Sichuan Chicken dumpling to make up for the noodles. I don't know if it was just that or our luck, a dumpling is something which usually never goes wrong, but then wasn't our eve! The tacos were the only redemption of the dinner! We ordered Hawaiian bubble blast & the coconut milk based Chendol drink. The drinks were good. For the price, the food was a middling affair 😐 The Service was great & also appreciate the restaurant offering us a replacement. Naah me...

We had booked the place in advance as we went as a group of 12 and wanted to sit together in a table. The restaurant team had arranged a perfect spot for us. I had also found out at the last moment that it was the birthday of one member of our group - so I went and asked the person in charge whether we could have a birthday cake to surprise the b'day boy, even though it was fairly late to ask for it. Nevertheless the team managed to whip up a small cake (but sufficient for each of us to have a bite) and put on the "Happy Birthday" song at the cake-cutting time. Really appreciate it and thanks a ton to Mr Santosh who served us with great care and patience (we took quite a while to figure out what we wanted to order, in particular, at the time of ordering appetizers and drinks) and gave extremely helpful advice about what to choose from the menu (e.g., suggesting that one main course per person may be a tad too much - which was absolutely correct as the portion sizes were pretty decent). A particularly notable item we ordered was the 32-piece Sushi boat - which actually came in a container designed like the hull of a old Chinese ship - and had assortment of prawn, crab, chicken and salmon sushi. Some members of our group had not tasted wasabi before - so that was something! Among the veg appetizers the honey lotus stem was really good! Overall the food was pretty good I would say. And the service, as I already mentioned,...

PROs - ambience , food taste CONs - service in first floor, drinks wasnt that good

First timer .. have heard a lot about this from friends . Superb location . Right next to Tidel and other IT companies . Inside holiday In . Great ambience . When you get inside , it feels really positive and serene . They asked us to go to first floor and no one serving thee . Took about 10 mins and we had to go down and call them. There were about 10 guys in ground floor and none on the top floor . Once the manager got involved , the service was super awesome . Wish they just do it without escalation .

Food was very good . Best was Nasi goreng . Rice was super good and very tasty . Quantity was also good . Pad thai was good but could have been better . Tasted like Indian version of pad thai … . Chicken Karang was ok. Very bland . Wish they had infused some sauce with the fried chicken. Lotus stir fry was super awesome .. tasted really good . Veg crackers - karuvadam nu potturulakaam.. about 6/7 vadams for 60rs :)

Kids also ordered boba tea and hawaiin bubble blast and was ok. Thai tea was good. Not much beer varieties . The menu said they had 650ml beers but they said they ran out 😀 350ml was the only option. Wish they had few more options for drinks .

Good experience overall but could be much better .. pricey for the experience we had . Wanted to give 3.5 stars but gave 4...

Nasi and Mee, located in the Holiday Inn in Chennai, offers an exceptional dining experience that seamlessly blends traditional Asian flavors with a modern touch. Our recent visit was nothing short of delightful. We started with the Sichuan Veg Dumplings, which were perfectly seasoned and had just the right amount of spice. The Garlic Fried Rice was aromatic and flavorful, complementing the Pad Thai, which was a wonderful balance of sweet, sour, and savory notes. The Edamame was fresh and lightly salted, providing a perfect appetizer, while the Stir-Fried Lotus Stem added a unique and satisfying crunch to our meal. The interior of Nasi and Mee is equally impressive. The decor is stylish and contemporary, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere. The service was prompt and courteous, adding to the overall excellent dining experience. For anyone looking for an exquisite Asian meal in Chennai, Nasi and Mee at the Holiday Inn is a must-visit. The combination of delicious food and a great ambiance makes it a standout choice.
