⭐ 1 Star – Rude Front Desk Ruined the Experience

We had a really bad experience at Bay 6 — not because of the food or the general staff (who were actually quite polite), but because of the extremely rude and unprofessional front desk guy who seemed to think he owned the place.

We walked in with a reservation, but were questioned rudely at the entrance. After we were seated and had started ordering, the same guy came over and said the table was reserved — so we were asked to move. We didn’t make a fuss and quietly shifted. But nearly 2 hours later, a group of 10 arrived, and he came back again, asking us “Who asked you to sit here?” — completely forgetting he was the one who seated us!

We reminded him of that, and he said the large group had reserved the table 2 days ago, while we had booked only that day. When we questioned what kind of reservation system works like that, he got defensive, fuming, and even started walking around and staring at us.

Later, he returned and actually asked us “When will you leave?” — which is NOT something you ask paying customers who were still ordering. He then tried justifying it by saying the 10-person group were his brother’s friends and that his brother owns the place. Whether or not that’s true, it was clear he prioritized that group over treating all customers fairly.

Funny enough, one of the 10-person group came over and apologized on his behalf, which was more courteous than anything we got from that staff member.

Two of our friends were still on the way, but we told them to head to another location instead — and we left and had a great time there. Before leaving, we spoke to neighboring tables who said they were also shocked at how we were treated and were reconsidering coming back.

The rest of the staff at Bay 6 were polite and professional — but one bad apple at the front desk ruined it all. If you choose to visit, be prepared to be treated based on how “valuable” he...

Got to know this place from Google while searching for Seaview restaurants.

Navigation: In google Maps it will suggest to take a left before Thoondil restaurant, don take that since it will take multiple turns and lot of speed breakers to reach the restaurant. Instead drive cross Thoondil and take the 6th avenue left turn that will lead you to the restaurant directly.

Parking: since we went on a Tuesday afternoon there was ample parking space. Not sure how it will be on weekends. but there are more space to park cars outside the restaurant. Not sure on Wallet parking.

Ambience: Dining is on ground floor ( lunch and dinner) and first floor (only for dinner). Air coolers are present in ground floor. Soft music's will be played on continuously. Separate cabins are also available for dining on demand purpose. Sea facing table ( 6 chairs) are only four. rest of the tables are non sea facing. prefer the sea facing table. No separate place for washing hands. use the washrooms for washing hands.

Dining: the other google reviews suggested to taste few items. we went with that list :P. Starters we tried: Crispy beef, Jerk chicken, Badam based chicken tikka. Main Course: Nan with Allepey fish curry ( it was so yummy we ordered a takeout for dinner), Chicken pasta, chicken biryani, chicken fried rice. Deserts: American Brownie, Watermelon and Lemon Mojito.

Customer service: Very good customer service. clean tables. they explained all the items we ordered very clearly. Spoon, fork and knives are placed in each table along with tissue papers.
