Wonderful feeling visiting this temple on the shores of ECR Beach, in a picturesque location. One of the modern day temples, built and maintained by Chinmaya mission. What adds to the beauty of the temple is the numerous pillars with inscriptions surrounding the temple arranged in a particular order. Words can not describe fully the magnificence of this temple but unfortunately photo and video are not allowed inside the temple...There is a wonderful shop inside the temple selling various publication of chinmaya mission and other pooja items. Particularly for children there are so many books written with lot of colorful illustrations about various our epics and stories..There are also some board games using our religious stories so that children can play and also learn the religious stories. Particularly for small children I would personally recommend a stotra book called Chinmaya Bala Vihar 1 and 2. It contains small slokas for prayer. When you come out of this temple on the left hand side we have this magnificent Bay of Bengal beach . A wonderful place to go with your family. There are also lot of the usual beach side shops selling various snacks. Many people come here to see the su rise in the morning.. But the beach is highly crowded on weekends and the approach to the temple is through a narrow lane where parking of cars become very difficult on weekends...Because of parking problem only I have reduced one star and I have given 4 stars...Otherwise the experience...

Key highlights:
*Evening Aarti (around 6:30 PM) is a must-attend. Sitting in the open area near the Matsya idol, with the breeze and serene surroundings, feels peaceful and uplifting.
*Samudra Aarti is also performed, which is quite unique and memorable.

*A book store inside offers religious books like the Gita, including versions for children.
*A lady sells sweets and laddus inside, which are fresh and tasty.
*Outside, you’ll find multiple stalls for snacks and refreshments.
The temple’s open setting, with the beach right next to it, makes it very special — a rare combination of spirituality and seaside calm. The view is beautiful, the vibe is peaceful, and it’s a place you’ll...
Read moreI visited the Matsya Narayana Temple on a Saturday evening, and it was a truly pleasant experience. Located near the beach shore, the temple has a serene and peaceful vibe, making it a perfect place to relax and reconnect.
The open-air design adds to its charm, and the seating arrangement with plenty of chairs makes it very convenient for visitors. The temple is well-maintained, neat, and clean, which further enhances the overall experience.
While the evening ambiance is beautiful, I’d highly recommend visiting early in the morning for an even more tranquil and refreshing experience.
A must-visit if you’re in the area! Better to go by bike for parking car is bit of complicated to turn on that street, if you park on ECR Road side and decided to go via auto the fair is too high not even 1km distance they are charging around 100 rs fixed so my preference is...
