BE AWARE OF GETTING ELECTROCUTED WHEN DINING we visited Kipling cafe today.. the food was awesome and we had the perfect night until we experienced the worst nightmare.. my girls were running around and playing until we were done with our bill payments.. right before we were about to leave my younger girl yelled and cried in pain holding her leg.. we suspected she had bumped onto something until my husband realised there was a live wire left open right next to our table. there was an electric shock when my daughter stepped on it accidentally with her bare legs.( I have attached pic and video which was right next to our dinner table ) my hubby initially thought that it walls some thing else in the dalrk and tried to grab with his bare hands to remove it from the way but that's when he also had a good electrocution and we had realise what had happened. we immediately asked the manager to be called, the waiter went inside to bring in another waiter who lathargically smiled and giggled on seeing my daughter in pain and us in mere shock telling that it was nothing. we got so annoyed and questioned him if he was the manager. to our shock he wasn't. we asked the manager and electrician to be summoned . they were there in sometime and checked.. the manager apologized but still we were in complete shock on what happened. what if there was a bigger incident .. who would have taken responsibility of such a life threatening incident.? they tried to convince us with free cakes n desserts which we denied upfront and walked off.. we loved the place, food and was willing to come back there again but I highly doubt we would be taking a life risk ever again. pls be cautious as they have points on the ground open and live. reckless.. my family wanted me to have a good birthday and this is how it had to end up for us. My girl still says her legs are wiggly and sleepy.. I'm worried for her health. For them we are 1 customer amongst 100's and my girls are 1 amongst 1000's but for us she's everything.. such a worst scenario and all they had had for us was some desserts and lousy apology.. I had worked in a restaurant industry earlier, I have never seen such a behavior from a waiter to smile and laugh at a customers complaint and that too...

Last week I have been to Kipling cafe, i think it's my 6th visit there, and it's an unhappy experience. What happened to the place I love to be at? It used to be a good place with lovely staffs who serves respect along with good food, I just waited 10 minutes for waiter to attend my table, many waiters were moving here and there and none came to take the order, one north eastern guy came up after 10 mins, the guy had too much bloated self image or idk what he is up to 😂, just stood there and behaving as if he is owning the place, didn't replied properly on any of my enquiry on the menu items, and it was not a happy experience to me and the people accompanied me. Had ordered three starters and some from bar menu, in which the panko fried fish was too bland to eat, the mangolian beef was good, the lemon grass prawn skewers, tho looked far different and un presentable from my first try there, but taste remained same abd were also good, the issue is I found a nicely cooked DEAD FLY along with the prawn😂, i didn't want to speak up with management that day, was too mentally tired to deal with them that day, I just paid and left off, wondering will ever be back, they raised the price, reduced the respect, serving unsafely prepared food, don't know where my fav Kipling cafe is headed to ??! And for my visit prior to this another north easterner was attending the table, it was the roof top, nice ambience, but again was a let down, I asked him to suggest specialities, he suggested a fish and a chicken dish, both came, both crisp fried and tossed in a sweet hot sauce, both tasted exact same, i was facepalming my self, wasted a 1000 on a similar tasting food. Let me remind the management if they read this review, at my first visit to your place, a waiter welcomed with all smiles, stood there explaining the menu, I just asked him what's good in Thai style,he himself provided good food suggestions and till we left it was a good experience, i can remember it till date, now I'm sadly beginning to...
Read moreI had an extremely disappointing experience at Kipling last night, which was particularly disheartening as I have been a regular customer since 2018. Despite having a reservation, no one was available to seat us upon arrival. When we eventually found our own table, we were met by a waiter who was not only unprofessional but also inattentive.
We waited for about 40 minutes without anyone taking our order. During this time, we noticed that guests at nearby tables had to physically go to the waiter to request service. We attempted the same, but it didn’t help. Finally, when the waiter returned after another 10 minutes, I expressed my frustration with the delay. His response was shockingly dismissive: "You didn't call me to take the order." I was taken a back by his rude tone and answer but however to even call, some one needs to around and not sure if the expectation from the customers was to go inside and request service ( which I anyway did but had no luck ) !
At that point, I asked to speak with the manager, only to be told that the manager was on leave. I even asked his name to which he denied answering the question. When I insisted on speaking to someone in charge, the waiter assured me he would bring them over. However, he obviously never did. I eventually found the person in charge myself, who was kind, courteous, and empathetic, but by then, the experience had been so soured that we decided to leave without ordering.
It’s disheartening to see a place that once offered excellent food and service decline in such a way. Based on the other reviews from the same night, it seems my experience wasn't an isolated incident. I hope someone at Kipling takes this feedback seriously and makes the necessary improvements before it’s too late to save what was once a great...
